Adding WhatsApp to your WordPress site can help you respond instantly to customer queries, capture leads before they bounce, let visitors contact you without filling out forms, and do much more.

But here’s the thing: there are dozens of WhatsApp plugins for WordPress out there, and they all promise to do something different. Some keep it simple with a chat button, while others connect to your forms, automate workflows, enable e-commerce notifications, or support multi-agent collaboration.

Below, I’ve curated a list of the top five WhatsApp plugins for WordPress, ranging from lightweight chat-button solutions to feature-rich options that cater to more advanced use cases. I’ve also included the criteria I used to evaluate them, so you can apply the same framework to any other plugins outside this list.

Let’s get right into it.

What to Look For in a WhatsApp Plugin for WordPress

Choosing the right WhatsApp plugin starts with understanding your business goals and what you want WhatsApp to do for your site. Ideally, you’ll want something that’s easy to set up and customize, supports all the features you need, and integrates seamlessly with the tools already on your website.

I suggest you use the following criteria to evaluate your options:

1) Ease of Use and Setup

The first thing to consider is how easy it is to install and configure the plugin on your own. A good WhatsApp plugin should provide clear setup instructions and also make it easy to find support or troubleshooting resources if you encounter any issues.

2) Features and Business Requirements

As mentioned earlier, not all WhatsApp plugins offer the same capabilities. Some only add a basic chat button, while others let you send automated notifications from your form builder, e-commerce store, and other tools, and even collaborate with your team on customer chats.

Since the feature set varies significantly, it’s important to understand your business goals and verify whether your chosen plugin aligns with them.  That way, you won’t end up paying for features you don’t need or choosing a plugin that’s incompatible with your workflow.

3) Compatibility with Other Integrations

If you need your WhatsApp plugin to work alongside the other tools on your website (like your themes, form builders, and e-commerce plugins), you’ll want to check how well it supports them. Remember, the more compatible a plugin is with your existing setup, the easier it will be to trigger notifications from your tools, sync data, and automate workflows.

4) Support Quality and Frequency of Updates

A WhatsApp plugin is only as reliable as the team maintaining it. Frequent updates are a good sign as they indicate that the developers are actively improving the plugin, fixing bugs, and keeping it compatible with the latest version of WordPress.

Support quality matters too. A responsive support team and clear documentation make the setup smoother and troubleshooting a lot easier. You can also check the WordPress plugin directory and trusted review sites to get a sense of how reliable the team behind a plugin is before making a decision.

5) Pricing

Pricing varies widely across WhatsApp plugins. Some are completely free, others follow a freemium model with optional upgrades, and some only offer a paid subscription with monthly or annual plans.

For advanced use cases, like sending messages from your connected tools or automating replies, you’ll also need to set up your number with the WhatsApp Business API.

Please note that this will incur a separate cost: you’ll pay on a per-message basis, depending on the message type and the recipient’s location (learn more about it here). These API costs will be charged either by your WhatsApp API provider or directly by Meta (depending on the API provider’s billing framework). Note that some API providers may also charge a 12% to 35% markup on the messaging rates.

So, to summarize, when you’re evaluating a plugin, factor in both the plugin costs and potential API messaging charges to see if they align with your budget.

1) WANotifier

WANotifier’s WhatsApp API integration plugin for WordPress gives you more than just a simple chat button.

As part of a comprehensive WhatsApp marketing and automation platform, it also enables you to integrate custom chatbots, built within WANotifier, into your chat button so you can automate responses to customer queries and provide 24/7 support.

The plugin also supports WhatsApp notifications for important WordPress events, such as when:

  • A new post or page is published
  • A custom post type is published
  • A new comment is added
  • Or, a new user registers on your website

If you use form plugins like Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms, Ninja Forms, Formidable Forms, and Fluent Forms, you can use WANotifier’s plugin to trigger WhatsApp notifications for form submissions. You can also optimize your lead capture flow by adding submitted user details to your contact lists and organizing them using WANotifier’s built-in CRM for future follow-ups (learn more about it here).

For WooCommerce sites, the plugin goes even further. You can send WhatsApp notifications for:

  • New orders (including cash on delivery orders)
  • Order status updates, such as Processing or Completed
  • Custom order statuses
  • Abandoned carts

…and much more.

Note that all of these workflows are powered by the WhatsApp Business API, which you can set up for free through WANotifier (see the detailed guide here). Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to use WANotifier’s WhatsApp marketing platform to:

  • Send instant or scheduled WhatsApp broadcasts to thousands of opted-in contacts at once
  • Trigger transactional messages for form submissions, order confirmations, or callback requests
  • Capture leads from Facebook and Instagram ad clicks and add them to your contact lists (learn more about it here)
  • Run drip campaigns to onboard users, nurture leads, and re-engage inactive customers
  • Set up chatbots and auto-replies to handle FAQs and provide 24/7 support
  • Use WhatsApp Flows to collect customer details and documents within chat
  • Integrate your website, CRM, e-commerce tools, and other third-party apps with WhatsApp (using WANotifier’s WordPress plugin and REST API)
  • Track message delivery and open rates, chatbot and drip sequence sessions, Flow completions, and ad conversions
  • Collaborate on chats using a WhatsApp team inbox (assign chats, invite team members, and view full conversation history)

Key Features

  • WhatsApp chat button (with the option to integrate chatbots for automated responses)
  • WhatsApp notifications for WordPress events (new posts, comments, users, etc.)
  • Seamless integration with major form plugins (Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms, Ninja Forms, Formidable, Fluent Forms)
  • WooCommerce notifications for new orders, status updates, abandoned carts, and more
  • Backed by a comprehensive WhatsApp marketing and automation platform (that lets you send bulk broadcasts, set up auto-replies and chatbots, create drip campaigns, monitor ROI and ad-driven conversions, and much more)

Pricing

As mentioned earlier, it’s essential to consider both plugin costs and WhatsApp API messaging fees (if applicable) when choosing a platform. WANotifier offers a significant advantage here: while most API providers add a 12% to 35% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, WANotifier charges 0% markup (so, you only pay what WhatsApp actually charges for sending messages).

Also, since WANotifier’s WordPress plugin is part of its comprehensive marketing and automation platform, your subscription includes not only the plugin but access to a full suite of WhatsApp marketing features at transparent prices. Here’s an overview of WANotifier’s monthly plans to give you a sense of what to expect:

  • Essentials: Starts at $49 or ₹1,999/month (for 1,000 contacts)
  • Advanced: Starts at $79 or ₹2,999/month (for 1,000 contacts)
  • Premium: Starts at $199 or ₹7,999/month (for 1,000 contacts)

2) Uncanny Automator

Uncanny Automator is a powerful automation plugin that gives WordPress sites direct access to the WhatsApp Business API.

Once set up, it acts as a bridge between WhatsApp and your WordPress ecosystem, allowing you to send message templates, trigger automated replies based on user actions, and create automation rules or “recipes” that connect WhatsApp with WooCommerce, form builders, and other integrations.

Uncanny Automator also includes built-in tools to handle opt-ins. It can detect when a message isn’t delivered because a user hasn’t opted in to hear from your business, and can automatically send follow-up prompts to request permission.

Key Features

  • Direct integration with the WhatsApp Business API
  • Allows users to send WhatsApp messages and message templates
  • Enables users to trigger transactional messages based on user actions
  • Supports the creation of automation rules (or “recipes) that connect WhatsApp with WooCommerce, LMS plugins, membership tools, and other supported tools.

Pricing

Uncanny Automator offers a forever-free plan that includes built-in automation and integration support for popular apps, including WhatsApp. However, if you want access to more features and integration, and the ability to connect multiple sites, you’ll need to upgrade to one of the following plans:

  • Basic: $199/year (license for 1 website)
  • Plus: $349/year (license for 10 websites)
  • Elite: $599/year (license for 50 websites)

Best For

Site owners looking to connect WhatsApp to WooCommerce, LMS tools, form builders, and other integrations, and trigger automated messages based on user actions.

3) Brevo WordPress Plugin

Brevo is an omnichannel marketing and CRM platform that also offers a WordPress plugin to automate communication and manage contacts seamlessly. You can use it to trigger emails and WhatsApp messages when a new WordPress post goes live, sync contacts in real time, and track user activity to understand how visitors interact with your site.

Please note that Brevo’s WordPress plugin is backed by its marketing platform, and you will need to create a Brevo account to access its features.

It’s also important to understand (especially if you want to use Brevo as your WhatsApp marketing solution) that Brevo only offers WhatsApp as a marketing channel on its higher-tier plans, starting at $499 per month. Additionally, it applies a significant markup to WhatsApp’s official message rates (roughly 36.5% on marketing messages in India), which can make WhatsApp campaigns considerably more expensive.

Key Features

  • Customizable forms and pop-ups (with advanced opt-in options)
  • Advanced contact list management and segmentation capabilities
  • Supports omnichannel campaigns (across WhatsApp, SMS, email, and other channels)
  • Allows users to trigger automations based on user actions
  • Seamless integration with WooCommerce

Pricing

The Brevo WordPress plugin itself is free, but if you want to send more than 300 emails per day or use WhatsApp as a marketing channel, you’ll need to upgrade to one of the following paid plans:

  • Starter: $9 / ₹625 per month
  • Standard: $18 / ₹1,345 per month
  • Professional: $499 / ₹44,680 per month (includes WhatsApp campaigns)
  • Enterprise: Pricing available on request

Also, if you plan to send 1:1 WhatsApp messages or collaborate with your team on customer chats, you’ll also need to invest in one of the following Sales Packages:

  • Sales Essentials: $31 / ₹2,597 per month (includes multi-user access)
  • Sales Advanced: $65 / ₹5,283 per month (includes 1:1 WhatsApp messaging)

Best For

Established businesses that want a WordPress plugin backed by an omnichannel marketing and CRM platform.

4) WP Chat App

WP Chat App helps you add WhatsApp as a support channel on your website (which, for many businesses, is all they really need). It lets you place a floating chat button or a widget on your site so visitors can reach you (or your team) instantly.

You can also add multiple WhatsApp numbers and customize agent profiles with a name, title, avatar, greetings, and working hours.

For WooCommerce stores, the plugin lets you assign specific agents to product pages and control where the WhatsApp button appears.

However, it’s worth noting that WP Chat App is built around the WhatsApp Business App, not the WhatsApp Business API. This means it’s limited to customer-initiated chats and can’t send automated messages or notifications the way API-based tools like WANotifier, Uncanny Automator, or the Brevo WordPress plugin can.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp floating widget
  • WooCommerce WhatsApp button (with the ability to choose a specific agent or expert for a product)
  • Shortcodes for placing click-to-WhatsApp buttons anywhere on your site
  • Event tracking integrations (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, GA4, and Facebook Pixel)

Pricing

You can use WP Chat App for free, which is enough for basic WhatsApp chat functionality on most sites. That said, if you want access to advanced features and improved performance, with six months of VIP chat support, you can upgrade with a one-time payment of $39.

Best For

WooCommerce store owners who get a handful of customer queries each day and mainly want to use WhatsApp as their support channel.

5) Join.chat

Join.chat is a popular WhatsApp plugin that lets you add a floating button to your website. When someone clicks it, Join.chat automatically opens WhatsApp on their phone, or launches WhatsApp Web or the WhatsApp desktop app on their PC.

Setup is straightforward, and the plugin gives you plenty of ways to tailor the chat experience. You can send text messages, images, videos, GIFs, or QR codes, create page-specific CTAs, and personalize the first message so visitors can start a conversation immediately. You can also add opt-in text to set expectations before someone reaches out.

If you run a WooCommerce store, you can define CTAs and custom start messages for your shop page, product pages, and sale items, and even place a WhatsApp contact option right next to the Add to Cart button.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp contact button
  • Support for rich media in chats: text, images, videos, GIFs, QR codes, etc.
  • Page-specific CTAs and customizable starting messages
  • WooCommerce integration
  • Analytics integrations with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Facebook Pixel

Pricing

Join.chat offers a free version that lets you add WhatsApp to as many sites as you like.

However, if you want more advanced features, such as chatbot-style conversation flows, multi-agent support, and support for additional channels like Telegram, Messenger, and phone calls, you’ll need to upgrade to one of the following paid plans:

  • Personal: €8 per month (includes 1 website)
  • Personal+:  €15 per month (includes 1 website)
  • Freelance:  €20 per month (includes 5 websites)
  • Agency:  €40 per month (includes 100 websites)

Best For

Website owners and online retailers who want a lightweight, easy-to-use WhatsApp contact solution.

Which WhatsApp Plugin for WordPress is Right for You?

And that completes this list of the best WhatsApp plugins for WordPress available today!

If there’s one thing to take away from this breakdown, it’s that the right plugin depends entirely on what you want WhatsApp to do for your website.

Most options out there fall into two categories: simple plugins that add a basic chat button for lightweight support, or API-backed solutions that unlock advanced features and automation, but often become expensive due to markups and high subscription costs.

WANotifier is one of the few platforms that offers a practical middle ground. Its WordPress plugin is backed by a full WhatsApp marketing and automation platform, which means you can use it for more than just on-site chat. You can send bulk broadcasts, build chatbots, create drip sequences, analyze ROI, track conversions, and manage your entire WhatsApp strategy from one place.

Another advantage of WANotifier is that it uses a transparent pricing model and applies 0% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, making it far more accessible than most API-based alternatives.

If you’re still unsure, you can always start with WANotifier’s free 7-day trial to see if it aligns with your workflow, budget, and business goals.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1) How to install and set up a WhatsApp plugin?

Installation steps vary depending on the plugin you choose. For accurate, step-by-step instructions, you should check out the plugin’s listing in the WordPress Plugin Directory and check the Installation tab. This will give you the exact setup process for that plugin.

2) Can I use WhatsApp on WordPress without the Business API?

Yes. If you just need a chat button on your website, you can use a plugin that connects to the WhatsApp Business App. This will allow your site visitors to start a conversation, and you can reply to their messages from the app just like you normally would.

However, if you want to send automated responses or trigger transactional messages based on user actions like form submission, purchases, or callback requests, you will need an API-based solution like WANotifier’s WhatsApp API integration plugin for WordPress.

3) Can I use WhatsApp on my website without using a plugin?

Yes. You can use a WhatsApp chat-button generator to create a click-to-chat button that opens a direct conversation with your business on WhatsApp. Alternatively, if you simply want to exchange direct messages, you can also use a free WhatsApp link generator to create a direct message link for your business.

Finally, you can also leverage WANotifier’s REST API to send WhatsApp messages to your customers from your website and other third-party apps.

4) Will a WhatsApp plugin slow down my WordPress site?

Most WhatsApp plugins are lightweight and should not have any noticeable impact on your site’s performance. If you do experience lags (or any other performance-related issues) after installation, check the plugin’s documentation for guidance or reach out to the support team for help.

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that WhatsApp is already a big part of how you communicate with customers, and you’ve reached the point where handling everything manually isn’t practical anymore.

Maybe you want to drive more engagement or automate routine queries so your support team can focus on higher-value conversations. Or maybe you want to offer round-the-clock support without increasing operational costs or being online 24/7.

Whatever your reason, you’re likely looking for the right automation solution, and with so many options in the market, you’re probably asking: Which WhatsApp automation tool aligns best with my business needs? Which one offers the right mix of features, ease of use, and long-term scalability? And, more importantly, which one actually delivers the best value for my money?

This guide will help you answer all of those questions. Below, you’ll find a curated list of the top 5 WhatsApp marketing automation tools available today. But before we dive into them, let’s quickly break down the criteria that actually matter when choosing such a tool.

How to Choose the Best WhatsApp Marketing Automation Tool

When you’re choosing a WhatsApp marketing automation tool, it’s important to focus on how well it streamlines your workflows, boosts your team’s productivity, and drives measurable growth. The criteria below will help you choose a platform that excels in these areas and supports your business as it grows.

1) Assess Your Business Goals and Requirements

The first factor to consider is your business goals and the type of workflows you want to automate.

Some businesses might only want to automate basic greetings and out-of-office messages. Others may wish to communicate at scale and need advanced capabilities, like auto-replies triggered by predefined keywords or phrases, chatbots that manage multi-step conversations, or drip sequences that support ongoing engagement.

Whatever your business goal may be, you must identify it correctly and plan your investment in a tool accordingly.

2) Evaluate Ease of Use

Another factor to consider is how easy a platform is to use. A good WhatsApp automation tool should offer a clean, intuitive interface and no-code options for setting up auto-replies, chatbots, and other automations. It should also enable you to automate your workflows without requiring any technical expertise or a steep learning curve.

It’s also worth checking whether the platform provides clear documentation, tutorials, and onboarding resources so your team can get up and running quickly.

3) Check Third-Party Integrations Support

Your WhatsApp marketing automation tool should also integrate seamlessly with the business tools you already use, such as your website, forms, CRM, e-commerce platform, and other third-party apps.

This will make it easier to send timely updates, confirmations, and other types of notifications from a single platform rather than switching between different apps for different user actions (or updates to the user stage in your buyer journey).

4) Consider Scalability & Customization

It’s also important to assess the customization options a tool offers. For example, is the chatbot builder limited to simple question-and-answer flows, or can it support more advanced, multi-step conversation journeys?

Scalability matters too. As your message volume grows and you add more team members to the platform, it should be able to handle the increased workload without any performance issues or disruptions.

5) Review Customer Support

Customer support is another critical factor to consider. Ideally, you should check user feedback on review sites like TrustPilot and G2 to determine the quality of support and onboarding assistance a platform provides.

You should also verify whether your chosen tool provides clear documentation, tutorials, and guides to help you set up automations correctly and troubleshoot any issues you encounter.

6) Compare Pricing & Value

The final factor to evaluate is pricing and what you actually get for the cost. Keep in mind that many tools add markups to WhatsApp’s messaging rates, which means any automated message you send could cost more than what WhatsApp usually charges.

Some platforms also charge extra for chatbot builders and other advanced automations. It’s important to understand what’s included in your plan and what’s billed separately, so you can evaluate whether the overall cost aligns with your budget and long-term needs.

Final Verdict: Which WhatsApp Marketing Automation Tool Is Best?

And that concludes our list of the top WhatsApp marketing automation tools!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1) What is WhatsApp marketing automation?

WhatsApp marketing automation enables you to run marketing campaigns more effectively and put routine messaging on autopilot. You can use it to automate follow-ups, responses to routine (and even some complex) customer queries, qualify leads, re-engage potential customers, and provide 24/7 support.

2) What are the benefits of WhatsApp marketing automation?

WhatsApp marketing automation enables businesses to scale real-time communication. It also allows them to:

  • Improve customer support response times: Businesses can automate routine queries, leading to better response times and improved customer satisfaction
  • Drive higher engagement: Brands can engage and re-engage prospects automatically at the right time, using timely nudges that improve conversions
  • Reduce support workload: WhatsApp automation frees your team from repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on higher-value conversations
  • Enable 24/7 availability: Auto-replies and trigger-based messages ensure your business stays responsive even outside working hours
  • Lower operational costs: Automation reduces the need for additional support staff as your message volume grows
  • Deliver consistent customer service: Automated flows provide predictable responses every time, leading to a more reliable customer experience across the board

3) What are the use cases of WhatsApp automation?

WhatsApp automation can support a wide range of business workflows, including but not limited to:

  • Customer support: Chatbots can instantly answer FAQs, provide round-the-clock assistance, and free up your team to focus on more complex queries
  • Marketing and sales campaigns: Brands can use automated notifications to share promotional offers, reminders, event updates, and personalized product recommendations. They can also use chatbots to qualify leads, schedule appointments, and guide users through the entire sales process.
  • Order and account management: Businesses can automate payment alerts for services/products, order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery notifications. They can also make their in-app experiences more interactive with updates for form submissions, account logins, and other user actions.

4) Can I integrate WhatsApp marketing automation tools with other software?

Yes. Most WhatsApp marketing automation tools integrate easily with popular CRMs, e-commerce stores, form builders, and marketing tools.

5) Can I use WhatsApp automation for free?

Not exactly. Most platforms offer limited free plans or trials, but full access to automation features usually requires a paid subscription. You also need to factor in the cost of sending automated messages. WhatsApp charges different rates depending on the message type (marketing, utility, or authentication), and many platforms add their own markup on top, except WANotifier, which charges 0% markup.

6) How can I get started with WANotifier as my WhatsApp marketing automation tool?

To get started with WANotifier as your WhatsApp marketing automation tool, follow this step-by-step guide.

Choosing the right WhatsApp API provider is more important than ever. After all, it directly impacts your ability to market and sell your products/services, and support customers on WhatsApp.

However, with dozens of officially recognized solutions on the market, it can be challenging to determine which platform aligns best with your business goals. Which one offers the right mix of features, flexibility, and pricing? And which provider actually supports the way your team works?

A more significant challenge is comparing these platforms without getting overwhelmed by their constantly growing feature lists and pricing models.

That’s exactly what this guide sets out to do. Below, I’ve compiled a list of the best WhatsApp Business API providers, based on practical criteria that actually matter when you’re choosing a long-term, scalable communication and marketing partner.

Let’s take a quick look at these criteria before diving into the list.

Criteria for Choosing the Best WhatsApp Business API Provider

When evaluating WhatsApp Business API providers, it’s easy to get distracted by marketing claims and lengthy feature lists. But those don’t tell you how well a platform will actually support your business as it grows or what using it day-to-day would really feel like.

That’s why this guide focuses on factors that truly shape your experience, such as how soon you can get up and running with a tool and how easily you can implement WhatsApp campaigns, automate conversations, and keep costs predictable. These are the practical criteria I kept coming back to while reviewing the providers on this list:

1. User experience and ease of onboarding

One of the first things to consider when choosing a WhatsApp Business API provider is how quickly you can get onboarded. The setup process can feel somewhat technical (especially if you’re new to the WhatsApp API), which is why an easy setup process, combined with step-by-step onboarding assistance, can make a big difference.

It’s also worth looking at the broader user experience. Is the platform easy to navigate, or does it feel cluttered with options? Does it have intuitive dashboards that you can use without a steep learning curve?

A provider with solid onboarding support and well-organized UI can save your team hours (and spare you a lot of frustration) as you start using WhatsApp for marketing and customer communication.

2. Meta recognition

Another important factor is whether Meta officially recognizes a provider. Note that this guide only features WhatsApp Business Solution Providers (BSPs) and official Meta Tech Partners.

Unofficial bulk messaging tools may seem appealing at first (usually because of cheaper pricing or fewer restrictions), but they can put your number at real risk of getting flagged or banned (learn more about it here).

3. Bulk broadcast and automation capabilities

Your WhatsApp API provider should go beyond basic messaging. It should give you the tools to schedule broadcasts, segment users based on custom attributes or profile data, and personalize messages in a way that feels tailored to each recipient.

It should also support WhatsApp automation and offer features such as chatbot builders, workflow automation, and drip campaigns, so you can capture leads, qualify users, and keep conversations going without manual effort.

4. Support for your existing tools

Another criterion for evaluating an API provider is how well it integrates with your website, lead-generation forms, and existing third-party tools.

Ideally, an API provider should enable you to capture leads from site activity, such as sign-ups, form submissions, or checkouts, pull customer data directly from your CRM, ERP, e-commerce store, and other third-party apps, and trigger automated messages based on user actions.

5. Pricing transparency

Pricing can vary significantly between WhatsApp API providers, so look beyond the base subscription charges and check whether the provider applies any markup or platform fees on messages.

Also, review the maximum number of team members allowed per plan, the cost of adding extra users, and any additional charges for essential features, like chatbot flows, as these can quickly drive up your costs.

6. Customer support

Customer support is another important factor to consider when choosing an API provider. Always check the type of support channels available, such as email or live chat, and whether onboarding assistance is included in your subscription or offered as a paid add-on.

It also helps to review customer feedback on platforms like TrustPilot and G2 so you can gauge how easily you’ll get help when you run into issues.

Final Verdict: Which WhatsApp Business API Provider Is Best?

And that wraps up my breakdown of the best WhatsApp API providers.

If there’s one takeaway from this comparison, it’s that the “best” provider isn’t just about which platform has more features. It’s also about pricing that aligns with your budget (and is transparent about what’s included and what isn’t), as well as an entry point (or base plan) that actually allows you to explore the potential of the WhatsApp API.

An ideal API provider should also offer reliable customer support, enabling you to onboard smoothly and unlock the potential of the API for your sales, marketing, and support workflows.

Many tools on this list fulfill these requirements. However, nearly all of them come with trade-offs, whether it’s markups on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, essential features locked behind higher-tier plans, limited onboarding assistance, or pricing that becomes expensive as you scale.

WANotifier is the only provider that avoids these limitations. It offers a feature-rich base plan that lets you explore the WhatsApp API and run high-impact campaigns, with transparent pricing and 0% markup on WhatsApp’s messaging rates.

With WANotifier, you also get step-by-step onboarding assistance included in your subscription, along with live chat and email support to help you resolve any issues you may encounter.

If that’s not compelling enough, WANotifier also offers a free 7-day trial on all its plans, so you can explore its features and see whether it fits your requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1) What is a WhatsApp Business API Provider?

A WhatsApp Business API provider is a platform authorized by Meta to give businesses access to the WhatsApp Business API.

These providers typically allow you to set up your phone number with the API and offer tools for managing message templates, setting up chatbots and other automations, and integrating your CRM, e-commerce platforms, and other business tools with WhatsApp.

2) What is the difference between the WhatsApp Business API and the WhatsApp Business App?

The WhatsApp Business App is a free mobile application geared toward individuals and small business owners who want to communicate with customers manually. It works well for low message volumes and simple use cases.

The WhatsApp Business API, on the other hand, is designed for businesses that need scalability. It enables you to send bulk messages to more than 256 recipients at a time, create chatbots, invite team members to collaborate on customer conversations, and integrate WhatsApp with third-party tools like CRMs, ERPs, and e-commerce platforms.

You can learn more about the differences between the WhatsApp Business App and the WhatsApp API here.

3) Is the WhatsApp Business API free?

The access to the API itself is free. However, if you want to send messages through the API, you will be charged based on the type of message you’re sending (marketing, utility, or authentication) and the recipient’s location. For a better understanding of how WhatsApp messaging charges are applied, refer to this article.

4) Can I use the same phone number on the WhatsApp Business App and the WhatsApp API?

Yes. You can now use the same phone number on both the WhatsApp Business App and the WhatsApp Business API simultaneously, thanks to WhatsApp Coexistence, a recent update from Meta.

Previously, you had to disconnect a number from the Business App before connecting it to the API. With Coexistence, you can link your existing Business App number to the API and continue using both. You can also sync chats and contacts between the two platforms.

To understand how this impacts your Business App usage and what charges may apply, check out this in-depth guide.

6) How can I get started with WANotifier as my API Provider?

To get started with WANotifier as your WhatsApp API provider, follow this step-by-step guide

ManyChat is a popular chat marketing platform that enables businesses to automate customer conversations across WhatsApp, Instagram, and other channels. For companies looking to streamline and scale omnichannel communication, it’s often a leading choice.

That said, when it comes to WhatsApp marketing, ManyChat isn’t the most practical solution. The platform imposes a sizeable markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (approx. ₹1.09 per marketing message compared to the official ₹0.78 in India), making high-volume campaigns significantly more expensive.

ManyChat also lacks a dedicated WhatsApp plan, meaning users focused on the messaging app end up paying for features (and channels) they’ll probably never use. Additionally, it doesn’t offer the same level of depth and flexibility that specialized WhatsApp marketing tools provide.

If you’re running high-volume WhatsApp campaigns or want a more specialized solution that offers advanced campaign management, CRM, and WhatsApp automation tools, it’s worth exploring a few alternatives.

In this article, I’ll introduce you to the top 5 ManyChat alternatives for WhatsApp marketing that offer more focused features, transparent pricing, and the ability to unlock WhatsApp’s full marketing potential.

But first, let’s quickly look at ManyChat’s key features, pros and cons, and pricing.

ManyChat Overview: Key Features and Pros and Cons

ManyChat is a popular chat automation platform that helps businesses engage and grow their audiences on messaging apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook Messenger. It offers a range of WhatsApp marketing features, including bulk broadcasts, user segmentation, chatbots, and a shared team inbox.

That said, since it’s designed for omnichannel use, ManyChat doesn’t go as deep as dedicated WhatsApp marketing platforms when it comes to customer acquisition and engagement tools.

The platform also applies a 40% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹1.09 vs. ₹0.78 per message) and doesn’t offer a WhatsApp-only plan, meaning users end up paying for channels and features they may never use.

Here’s a glimpse of ManyChat’s key features:

Key Features

  • WhatsApp broadcasts
  • Visual flow builder (for creating chatbots)
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads trigger (for chatbot)
  • User segmentation
  • Shared team inbox

Pros

  • Easy-to-use interface
  • Supports multiple channels, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and more
  • Advanced automation tools for setting up chatbots, auto-replies, lead generation flows, and e-commerce workflows

Cons

  • Applies a considerable markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹1.09 per message vs. ₹0.78 in India)
  • Less optimized for WhatsApp marketing compared to dedicated platforms
  • Their Pro plan starts at $15 and includes just 500 contacts, which can make scaling costly for growing businesses
  • User reviews mention delayed responses and occasional issues with unresponsive customer support

Pricing

ManyChat currently offers three subscription plans (Note: the prices below do not include WhatsApp messaging fees):

  • Free: $0/month (does not include WhatsApp)
  • Pro: Starts at $15/month (includes 500 contacts)
  • Elite: Available on request

2) DelightChat

If you want a ManyChat alternative that’s more support-focused, DelightChat is worth a look.

Like ManyChat, DelightChat is an omnichannel platform that centralizes conversations from WhatsApp, Instagram, and other channels. However, it places a stronger emphasis on customer service, while still giving businesses WhatsApp marketing tools to grow their revenue.

DelightChat offers essential WhatsApp capabilities like bulk broadcasts, auto-replies, chatbots, and support analytics with metrics like no. of tickets created, resolution time, etc. For e-commerce brands, it provides useful WhatsApp automations for abandoned cart recovery, COD (cash on delivery) verification, and order confirmation messages with upsell options.

However, since it’s primarily support-driven, DelightChat lacks several features found in more specialized WhatsApp marketing platforms, like Click-to-WhatsApp ads and advanced user segmentation tools for running targeted campaigns. Its e-commerce integrations are also limited beyond Shopify, leaving users to rely on workarounds or third-party apps to connect WooCommerce and other platforms.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp bulk broadcasts
  • Auto replies and chatbots
  • Deep Shopify integration
  • Unified support inbox (for all channels)
  • Automations for abandoned cart recovery, COD verification, and order confirmation with upsell options
  • Support and ROI tracking

Pros

  • Unified inbox to manage customer conversations across WhatsApp, Instagram, email, and other channels
  • No additional markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates
  • Quick, easy setup process
  • Powerful Shopify integration

Cons

  • Mainly a support-focused platform; it lacks key customer acquisition tools like Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • Best suited for D2C and e-commerce brands; can feel limited for other use cases and industries
  • Lacks advanced user segmentation capabilities for sending personalized campaigns
  • E-commerce integrations are limited beyond Shopify; users must opt for third-party apps and workarounds to connect with other platforms
  • Customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

DelightChat offers three subscription plans:

  • Startup: $29 per month
  • Scale: $99 per month
  • Growth: $299 per month

3) Wati

If you’re looking for a ManyChat alternative that’s better suited for scaling WhatsApp marketing and automating customer engagement, Wati is a strong contender.

The platform offers an impressive set of WhatsApp marketing and automation features, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, WhatsApp Flows, and automations for retargeting prospects. Wati also includes an AI-powered support agent that can handle FAQs and custom chatbots for managing more complex customer interactions.

That said, Wati may not be the ideal fit for every business, particularly those operating on leaner budgets. The platform applies a sizeable markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.94 per marketing message vs. the official ₹0.78 in India). It also limits essential features like broadcast scheduling and analytics to higher-tier plans, requiring users to upgrade to unlock its full potential.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp bulk broadcasts
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • AI-powered support agent for automating FAQs
  • Shared inbox

Pros

  • Purpose-built for WhatsApp marketing and automation
  • User-friendly interface
  • Features powerful automation tools, including an AI-powered support agent and a no-code chatbot builder
  • Integrates easily with popular CRM, e-commerce, and marketing platforms
  • Offers email support across all plans

Cons

  • Adds a sizeable markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.94 per marketing message vs. ₹0.78)
  • Requires users to pay for messaging credits upfront
  • Total number of users capped at 5 across all plans; adding more costs $39 (₹1,299) or $89 (₹3,999) per user per month, depending on your plan
  • Broadcast scheduling and analytics are not included in the Starter plan
  • Chatbot usage is limited to 5,000 sessions per month
  • No onboarding support for Growth or Pro plan users (it can only be purchased as an add-on)

Pricing

As mentioned earlier, Wati adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates. These charges are not included in the subscription prices listed below:

  • Growth: $69 or ₹2,499/month
  • Pro: $149 or ₹5,999/month
  • Business: $349 or ₹16,999/month

For users focused solely on bulk messaging, Wati also offers a Pay-as-you-go plan priced at ₹999, which includes 500 messages valid for three months.

4) Interakt

Interakt is a popular WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP) that helps businesses engage customers and streamline support across WhatsApp and Instagram.

For WhatsApp marketing, Interakt offers a solid set of features, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, auto-replies and chatbots, WhatsApp Forms, and an FAQ automation agent that reduces manual workload by handling repetitive customer queries.

That said, like Wati, Interakt applies a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (around ₹0.87 per marketing message, compared to the official ₹0.78 in India) and requires users to purchase messaging credits upfront. It also doesn’t offer key features like Click-to-WhatsApp ads, click tracking, and a shared team inbox in its base plan, meaning users must upgrade to more expensive plans to unlock its marketing potential.

Key Features

  • Bulk broadcasts
  • Click-to-WhatsApp Ads
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • Integrated CRM
  • Click and conversion tracking
  • Conversational AI agents for qualifying leads, managing orders, and assisting customers

Pros

  • User-friendly interface
  • Smooth integrations with popular tools like Shopify, Zoho, and Google Sheets
  • Robust automation capabilities, including chatbots, auto-replies, and conversational AI agents
  • Centralized inbox for managing customer conversations across WhatsApp and Instagram

Cons

  • Applies a markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (around ₹0.87 per message vs. ₹0.78 officially).
  • Requires users to purchase messaging credits in advance
  • The starter plan is limited (missing key features like Click-to-WhatsApp ads and click/conversion analytics)
  • Automated flow setup can feel complex for new users
  • User reviews suggest that customer support can be slow and inconsistent

Pricing

As noted earlier, Interakt charges a markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates. The subscription prices listed below do not include these charges:

  • Starter: $12 or ₹999/month
  • Growth: $55 or ₹2,799/month
  • Advanced: $69 or ₹3,799/month
  • Enterprise: Available on request

5) AiSensy

The last ManyChat alternative on this list is AiSensy, an all-in-one WhatsApp marketing and automation solution geared towards D2C businesses and startups.

AiSensy offers a comprehensive set of WhatsApp marketing features, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, an integrated CRM, WhatsApp chatbots, forms, and real-time click tracking.

However, like some of the other tools on this list, AiSensy imposes a markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.88 per marketing message vs. the official ₹0.78 in India), making it impractical for businesses that want to exchange a high volume of messages.

Another drawback is that AiSensy doesn’t offer its chatbot builder in its standard plans. Users must pay an additional $80 ( ₹2,500/month) for just five flows, which can significantly increase overall automation costs.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp Broadcasting
  • Chatbots and auto replies
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • WhatsApp Forms
  • Real-time click tracking

Pros

  • Clean, user-friendly interface
  • Designed specifically for WhatsApp marketing
  • Free Forever plan with ₹50 in conversation credits
  • AI-powered chatbots for automating repetitive queries and interactions
  • Allows users to schedule broadcasts up to 2 months in advance

Cons

  • Adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.88 per message vs. ₹0.78)
  • Requires users to pre-purchase messaging credits
  • Chatbot builder not included in standard plans (available only as a paid add-on)
  • Advanced analytics and click tracking are only available with higher-tier plans
  • User reviews suggest inconsistent support quality, with slow response times and occasional need for multiple follow-ups

Pricing

As highlighted above, AiSensy applies a 12.8% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, which is not included in the subscription prices listed below:

  • Basic: $45 or ₹1500/month
  • Pro: $99 or ₹3200/month
  • Enterprise: Price available on request

You’re now familiar with five strong ManyChat alternatives designed specifically for businesses that want to use WhatsApp as their primary growth channel. Many of these tools also offer more accessible pricing compared to ManyChat.

If you’re using WhatsApp to connect with leads, manage customer conversations, or run promotional campaigns, you’ve probably heard of or are already using Rasayel: a popular WhatsApp communication and automation platform designed specifically for B2B sales teams.

While Rasayel works well for sales reps who want to manage conversations, qualify leads, and collaborate internally, it can feel limiting for marketing teams due to a lack of focus on customer acquisition and engagement, and marketing automation features.

Rasayel’s pricing can also be steep for smaller teams, starting at $30 per user per month with a minimum of five users, bringing the total to at least $150 per month. Its Starter plan also lacks key features, such as broadcast scheduling and engagement insights, which means users need to upgrade to a higher-tier plan to access these capabilities.

That’s why I’ve rounded up the top 5 Rasayel alternatives for WhatsApp marketing that can help you automate and scale your outreach, drive higher conversions and repeat purchases, and track engagement and ROI from your campaigns.

But before we dive into them, let’s quickly look at Rasayel’s key features, pros and cons, and pricing.

Rasayel Overview: Key Features and Pros and Cons

Rasayel is a B2B sales platform that enables businesses to manage leads and collaborate more effectively on WhatsApp. It offers a wide range of features designed for sales productivity, including chatbots, workflow automation, and a shared WhatsApp team inbox. Users can also send personalized broadcasts to unlimited contacts, leverage Rasayel’s APIs for advanced integrations, and connect directly with popular CRMs like HubSpot.

Despite its impressive functionality, Rasayel may not be the best fit for every organization, particularly those with lean budgets. Its pricing starts at $30/user/ month with a minimum of 5 users, bringing the total to at least $150 per month. Its Starter plan also lacks essential features, such as broadcast scheduling and engagement insights, requiring users to upgrade to higher-tier plans to unlock these capabilities.

Additionally, Rasayel’s features are more sales-oriented and less suitable for marketing teams focused on acquiring more customers through WhatsApp.

Key Features

  • Personalized WhatsApp broadcasts
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • Workflow automation
  • WhatsApp team inbox
  • Native HubSpot CRM integration
  • Mobile apps for iOS and Android

Pros

  • No markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates
  • API billing is handled directly by Meta, so you don’t have to pre-purchase messaging credits
  • Powerful automation features, including a no-code chatbot builder and workflow automation tools
  • Integrates easily with popular CRMs like HubSpot, Pipedrive, and Salesforce

Cons

  • Pricing structure isn’t transparent; you’re billed per user and must pay for at least 5 users in the base plan and 10 in the Grow plan
  • Primarily designed for sales teams (less suitable for marketing and outreach-focused use cases)
  • Some advanced features require a learning curve to use effectively
  • No guided onboarding assistance in the base plan (only 1 onboarding session provided in the Grow plan)
  • Users have reported issues when trying to send multiple files simultaneously through Rasayel

Pricing

Rasayel offers three subscription plans with a 7-day free trial and options for monthly or annual billing:

  • Starter: $30 per user per month (minimum 5 users)
  • Grow: $40 per user per month (minimum 10 users)
  • Enterprise: Pricing available upon request (starts at $2,000/month)

1) WANotifier

If you’re looking for a Rasayel alternative that balances sales communication with powerful marketing and automation features, WANotifier is an excellent choice.

Trusted by brands like BITS Pilani, ISKCON, True Hope Foundation, and Virtus Motors, WANotifier is an official Meta Tech Partner and an all-in-one WhatsApp marketing platform that helps you manage your entire customer lifecycle, from lead generation and engagement to conversions and retention.

The platform comes packed with tools such as bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, drip campaigns, chatbots, WhatsApp Flows, and advanced analytics with ROI and conversion tracking.

It also features an integrated CRM that lets you segment contacts using lists, tags, custom attributes, and Smart Segments, along with a shared team inbox where you can invite team members, assign chats, and track conversation history.

WANotifier also offers a WordPress Plugin and REST API that let you connect your website, lead generation forms, and third-party apps to WhatsApp (learn more about it here).

Where WANotifier truly stands out from Rasayel is in its transparent and flexible pricing. The platform doesn’t require a minimum number of users and can scale according to your business needs. Also, unlike most API providers that charge a 12% to 35% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, WANotifier charges 0% markup, with the API billing handled directly by Meta.

The platform also offers a 7-day free trial on all its plans, and guided onboarding assistance for all users, unlike Rasayel, which limits this service to its Grow and Enterprise plans.

Here’s everything you can do with WANotifier:

  • Send bulk WhatsApp broadcasts to thousands of opted-in contacts simultaneously
  • Trigger transactional messages from your websites and third-party apps for orders, form submissions, and callback requests
  • Capture leads directly from Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns and add them to your contact list (learn more about it here)
  • Set up chatbots and automations to answer FAQs and offer 24/7 customer support
  • Create drip campaigns to onboard new users, nurture prospects, and re-engage inactive customers
  • Deploy WhatsApp Flows to gather user details within chat
  • Send WhatsApp notifications from your CRM, e-commerce tools, and other third-party apps
  • Track message delivery and open rates, chatbot sessions, drip campaign engagement, Flow completions, and ad-driven conversions

Pros

  • 0% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates
  • Supports a wide range of industries and business use cases
  • Mobile app for managing chats and inbox activity on the go
  • WordPress Plugin and REST API for easy integration with websites and third-party tools

2) Sleekflow

If you’re looking for a Rasayel alternative that allows you to manage customer communication across multiple channels, including WhatsApp, Sleekflow is worth considering. It offers a comprehensive set of features, including WhatsApp broadcasts for bulk messaging, a unified CRM to manage and segment contacts across channels, and a shared team inbox for collaborative chat management.

Sleekflow also includes AI-powered agents that can assist with lead generation, sales outreach, and customer support, and real-time analytics for monitoring performance and optimizing conversions.

That said, Sleekflow’s pricing can be prohibitive for SMBs and growing businesses. The platform charges a 20.5% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.95 per marketing message versus the official rate of ₹0.78), which can quickly drive up campaign costs. It also lacks a dedicated WhatsApp plan, meaning WhatsApp-focused users will end up paying for channels (and features) they’ll probably never use.

Key Features

  • Multi-channel messaging (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and more)
  • Broadcast campaigns
  • Omnichannel CRM
  • WhatsApp Flows
  • AI-powered chatbots
  • Chat and conversion analytics

Pros

  • Supports omnichannel communication
  • Includes a free plan with 50 monthly active contacts
  • Features a unified CRM and shared inbox for better lead management and team collaboration
  • Offers powerful automation tools for sales, marketing, and support workflows
  • Backed by a responsive and helpful customer support team

Cons

  • Charges a sizeable markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging costs (₹0.95 per marketing message vs. the official rate of ₹0.78)
  • Requires users to purchase messaging credits in advance
  • More of an omnichannel solution; it can be complex for WhatsApp-focused users
  • Analytics tools offer limited customization options
  • No onboarding assistance in any plan except the Enterprise AI tier (Pro and Premium users can only purchase it as an add-on)

Pricing

As noted earlier, Sleekflow doesn’t offer a dedicated WhatsApp-only plan, which means businesses focused solely on WhatsApp may end up paying for channels (and features) they’ll never use. The platform also applies a markup on WhatsApp’s messaging charges, which are billed separately from the subscription prices listed below:

  • Startup: Free
  • Pro AI: $129 (includes 2,000 contacts)
  • Premium AI: $349 (includes 12,000 contacts)
  • Enterprise AI: Price available on request

3) AiSensy

Another great alternative to Rasayel is AiSensy, a popular WhatsApp marketing and automation platform trusted by Indian D2C brands and startups.

AiSensy offers a comprehensive set of WhatsApp marketing tools, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, a WhatsApp CRM, chatbots, WhatsApp Forms, and product catalogs. The platform also provides real-time analytics to help you track campaign performance and retarget engaged users to maximize ROI.

However, like Sleekflow, AiSensy adds a considerable markup to WhatsApp’s messaging rates (₹0.88 per marketing message versus the official ₹0.78). The platform also doesn’t offer its chatbot builder as part of its standard plans. Businesses must pay an additional $80 or ₹2,500 per month for the drag-and-drop flow builder with 5 flows, which can significantly increase overall costs.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp bulk broadcast
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • WhatsApp forms
  • Product catalogs
  • Click analytics

Pros

  • User-friendly and intuitive interface
  • Free Forever plan with ₹50 in conversation credits
  • Powerful automation features, including a no-code chatbot builder
  • Ability to schedule WhatsApp broadcasts up to two months in advance

Cons

  • Charges a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.88 per marketing message vs. the official ₹0.78 rate in India)
  • Requires users to purchase messaging credits in advance
  • Chatbot builder is only available as a paid add-on for $80 / ₹2,500 per month (with up to 5 flows)
  • Advanced analytics and click tracking features are limited to higher-tier plans
  • Customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

As mentioned above, AiSensy adds a markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (around 12.8%). These charges and any applicable taxes are not included in the subscription prices listed below:

  • Basic: $45 or ₹1500/month
  • Pro: $99 or ₹3200/month
  • Enterprise: Available on request

4) Interakt

If you’re looking for a Rasayel alternative to manage customer communication across both WhatsApp and Instagram, Interakt is a great choice.

Built on the official WhatsApp Business Platform, Interakt offers a comprehensive range of features, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, auto-replies and chatbots, WhatsApp Forms, and an FAQ automation agent that helps reduce repetitive customer queries. It also integrates seamlessly with popular tools like Shopify, WooCommerce, Zoho, HubSpot, Zapier, and Freshdesk.

When it comes to drawbacks, pricing is Interakt’s biggest limitation. The platform adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (around ₹0.87 per marketing message versus the official ₹0.78), which can be unsustainable for businesses that send a high volume of messages. Its basic plan also lacks essential features like Click-to-WhatsApp ads, click tracking, and a shared team inbox, meaning users must upgrade to more expensive plans to unlock the platform’s full potential.

Key Features

  • Bulk broadcasts
  • Click-to-WhatsApp Ads
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • Built-in CRM
  • Click and conversion analytics
  • Conversational AI agents for qualifying leads and driving sales

Pros

  • Intuitive user interface
  • Seamless integrations with popular tools like Shopify, Zoho, and Google Sheets
  • Supports use cases across education, healthcare, e-commerce and retail, and other industries
  • Advanced automation features, including chatbots, auto-replies, and AI-powered conversation agents
  • Unified inbox for managing and tracking conversations across WhatsApp and Instagram

Cons

  • Add a markup to WhatsApp’s messaging rates (around ₹0.87 per message vs. the official ₹0.78 rate in India)
  • Requires users to pre-purchase messaging credits
  • Starter plan lacks key features such as Click-to-WhatsApp ads and click and conversion analytics
  • Setting up automated flows can be challenging for non-technical users
  • Customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

Interakt offers four subscription plans with monthly, quarterly, and annual billing options. Here’s a look at its monthly prices:

  • Starter: $12 / ₹999 per month
  • Growth: $55 / ₹2,799 per month
  • Advanced: $69 / ₹3,799 per month
  • Enterprise: Pricing available on request

5) Gallabox

Gallabox is a popular sales automation platform that also packs a punch when it comes to WhatsApp marketing. It comes with a versatile set of tools, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, and WhatsApp drip sequences to help businesses engage and nurture prospects more effectively.

On the automation front, Gallabox features AI-powered chatbots that can handle FAQs, qualify leads, and even enable direct sales through chat. It’s also worth noting that Gallabox integrates seamlessly with tools like HubSpot, Zapier, Razorpay, Zoho, and WooCommerce.

Despite its strong feature set, Gallabox may not be the best fit for every business. The platform adds a 15.4% markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.90 per marketing message versus the official ₹0.78), which can drive up campaign costs over time. It also lacks a monthly billing option and charges an additional ₹15,000 per month for access to a dedicated account manager, which can significantly increase the total cost for smaller teams.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp bulk broadcasts
  • Click-to-WhatsApp Ads
  • Drip marketing
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • WhatsApp Flows
  • Shared team inbox

Pros

  • 100% no-code setup (no technical expertise required)
  • iOS and Android apps for managing chats and campaigns on the go
  • User-friendly campaign management and broadcast tools
  • Smooth onboarding process with in-depth training and responsive support
  • Regular product updates that align with business needs and market trends

Cons

  • Applies a markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.90 per marketing message versus the official rate of ₹0.78)
  • Requires users to pre-purchase messaging credits
  • No monthly billing option; only annual or quarterly plans
  • Shopify integration requires an additional $5 per month
  • Access to a dedicated account manager costs an additional ₹15,000 per month

Pricing

As mentioned above, Gallabox charges a markup on WhatsApp’s messaging rates. These charges are not included in the subscription plans listed below:

  • Growth:  $149 or ₹5,999 (billed quarterly)
  • Scale: $329 or ₹12,999 (billed quarterly)
  • Pro: $629 or ₹24,999 (billed quarterly)

DelightChat is a well-known customer communication platform, tailor-made for D2C and e-commerce brands that want to streamline conversations across multiple channels, including WhatsApp. If your focus is on improving customer experience and maintaining responsive communication, DelightChat offers a clean, efficient solution that’s easy to adopt and scale.

That said, if you’re focused on WhatsApp marketing, the platform can feel somewhat limited. It lacks essential tools for running customer acquisition campaigns, like Click-to-WhatsApp ads, and doesn’t offer advanced user segmentation features for sending targeted messages.

Its e-commerce integrations are also limited beyond Shopify, meaning users have to rely on third-party apps and workarounds to connect WooCommerce and other platforms.

For marketers trying to use WhatsApp for more than just basic customer support, these gaps can quickly become constraints.

That’s why I’ve put together a list of the top 5 DelightChat alternatives for WhatsApp marketing that come with a richer set of customer acquisition and engagement tools, and broader integration options, to help you run high-impact campaigns and streamline your workflow.

But before exploring these alternatives, let’s take a closer look at what DelightChat does well and where it falls short.

DelightChat Overview: Key Features and Pros and Cons

As noted above, DelightChat is an omnichannel customer service platform that also aims to help businesses grow their revenue through WhatsApp marketing.

It offers features such as bulk broadcasts, auto-replies, and chatbots, and detailed analytics to track support performance ( with metrics like number of tickets created, resolution times, etc.). DelightChat also supports WhatsApp automations for abandoned cart recovery, COD (cash on delivery) verification, and order confirmations with upsell options.

That said, DelightChat is more of a support-focused platform than a full-fledged WhatsApp marketing solution. It lacks key customer acquisition tools, such as Click-to-WhatsApp ads, and also doesn’t support advanced user segmentation for running targeted campaigns.

DelightChat’s e-commerce integrations are also limited beyond Shopify, which means users must rely on third-party apps or workarounds to connect with WooCommerce and other platforms.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp broadcasts
  • Auto replies and chatbots
  • Shopify integration
  • Omnichannel support inbox
  • Automations for abandoned cart recovery, COD verification, and order confirmation

  • More suitable for D2C and e-commerce use cases (less adaptable for other businesses in other industries)
  • Lacks advanced user segmentation tools for running personalized campaigns
  • E-commerce integrations are limited beyond Shopify; users must rely on third-party apps and workarounds to connect with other platforms
  • Customer support response times can be slow

DelightChat offers three subscription plans. Note that the charges for sending WhatsApp messages aren’t included in these prices:

  • Startup: $29 per month

  • Growth: $299 per month

1) WANotifier

If you’re looking for a DelightChat alternative that combines powerful WhatsApp marketing and automation tools with reliable support capabilities, WANotifier is a great choice.

An official Meta Tech Partner, WANotifier equips businesses with everything they need to capture, engage, and convert customers on WhatsApp, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, drip campaigns, auto-replies and chatbots, WhatsApp Flows, and detailed analytics with ROI and conversion tracking.

It also includes a WhatsApp CRM that supports advanced user segmentation through lists, tags, custom attributes, and Smart Segments, plus a WordPress Plugin and REST API that allows businesses to connect their websites, lead gen forms, and third-party tools to WhatsApp (learn more about it here).

Unlike DelightChat, which focuses primarily on e-commerce and retail, WANotifier supports a wide range of use cases across industries like education, healthcare, real estate, and travel.

Where WANotifier truly stands out, though, transparent pricing model. Unlike most API providers that charge a 12% to 35% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, WANotifier charges 0% markup, with the API billing handled directly by Meta (so you don’t have to pre-purchase messaging credits).

The platform also offers a 7-day free trial on all its paid plans, so you can explore its features and see how well they align with your marketing goals.

Here’s everything you can do with WANotifier:

  • Send instant or scheduled WhatsApp broadcasts to thousands of opted-in contacts
  • Trigger transactional messages from your website or app based on user actions like purchases, form submissions, or callback requests
  • Capture leads from Facebook and Instagram ads and add them to your contact lists (learn more about it here)
  • Set up no-code chatbots and automations to handle FAQs, qualify leads, and manage routine customer requests
  • Run drip campaigns to onboard new users, nurture leads, and re-engage inactive customers
  • Use WhatsApp Flows to collect data, guide user interactions, and deliver personalized in-chat experiences
  • Integrate WhatsApp with your CRM, e-commerce store, or other business tools
  • Track message delivery and open rates, chatbot sessions, Flow responses, and ad-driven conversions
  • Collaborate seamlessly across teams through a shared inbox (invite team members, assign chats, and track conversation history)

Pros

  • 0% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging charges
  • API billing handled by Meta (so you don’t have to pre-purchase messaging credits)
  • Comprehensive feature set that caters to diverse use cases and industries
  • User-friendly interface
  • Mobile app for managing conversations and tracking inbox activity on the go
  • Live chat and email support available for all users
  • Guided WhatsApp API onboarding included with every plan

Cons

  • The basic plan is mainly focused on bulk broadcasts and lacks advanced automation features
  • Features like Smart Segments, chatbots, and drip campaigns are limited to higher-tier plans

Pricing

WANotifier offers three flexible subscription plans with both monthly and annual billing options. Here’s a breakdown of its monthly pricing:

  • Essentials: Starting at $49 or ₹1,999/month (for up to 1,000 contacts)

2) Wati

Another great alternative to DelightChat is Wati: a popular WhatsApp marketing platform that enables businesses to automate and scale customer engagement.

Wati offers an impressive set of WhatsApp marketing features, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, WhatsApp Flows, and automations for retargeting potential customers. Businesses can also use Wati’s AI-powered support agent to automate FAQs and close tickets, and custom chatbots to handle specific customer queries.

However, Wati may not be the best fit for every business, especially those operating on leaner budgets. The platform adds a significant markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.94 per marketing message vs. the official ₹0.78 in India), which can make large-scale campaigns more expensive.

It also doesn’t offer key features like broadcast scheduling and analytics in its base plan, which means users must upgrade to a higher-tier plan to unlock Wati’s full potential.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp broadcasts
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • AI support agent for automating FAQs
  • Shared team inbox

Pros

  • User-friendly interface
  • Powerful automation features, including an AI-powered support agent and custom chatbots
  • Integrates easily with popular CRM, e-commerce, and marketing tools
  • Email support included in all subscription plans

Cons

  • Adds a sizeable markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.94 per marketing message vs. the official ₹0.78 in India)
  • Requires users to pre-purchase messaging credits
  • The maximum number of users is limited to 5 across all plans; adding more costs $39 (₹1,299) or $89 (₹3,999) per user per month, depending on your plan
  • Key features like broadcast scheduling and analytics are not included in the basic plan
  • Chatbot usage is capped at 5,000 sessions per month
  • No onboarding support for Growth or Pro plan users (it can only be purchased as an add-on in these tiers)

Pricing

As mentioned earlier, Wati adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, which is not included in its subscription pricing. Here’s an overview of its monthly plans:

  • Growth: $69 or ₹2,499/month
  • Pro: $149 or ₹5,999/month
  • Business: $349 or ₹16,999/month

For users focused on bulk messaging, Wati also offers a Pay-as-you-go plan priced at ₹999, which includes 500 messages valid for three months.

3) Interakt

Backed by Jio Haptik, Interakt is a popular WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP) that enables businesses to engage audiences and streamline customer support across both WhatsApp and Instagram.

When it comes to WhatsApp marketing, Interakt boasts a powerful set of features, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, auto-replies and chatbots, WhatsApp Forms, and an FAQ automation agent that handles repetitive customer queries.

Despite its extensive feature set, Interakt has a few limitations worth considering. For one, the platform adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (around ₹0.87 per marketing message vs. ₹0.78 officially in India) and also requires users to purchase messaging credits upfront.

Another drawback is that Interakt’s basic plan lacks essential features like Click-to-WhatsApp ads, click tracking, and a shared team inbox, requiring businesses to upgrade to more expensive plans to access these capabilities.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp bulk broadcasts
  • Click-to-WhatsApp Ads
  • Chatbots and automations
  • Integrated CRM
  • Click and conversion analytics
  • Conversational AI agents that help qualify leads, manage orders, and support customers

Pros

  • Clean, user-friendly interface that’s easy to navigate
  • Seamless integrations with popular tools like Shopify, Zoho, and Google Sheets
  • Powerful automation features, including chatbots, auto-replies, and conversational AI agents
  • Unified inbox for managing customer conversations across WhatsApp and Instagram

Cons

  • Charges a markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (on avg., ₹0.87 per message vs. the official ₹0.78 rate in India).
  • Requires users to purchase messaging credits upfront
  • The starter plan lacks features like Click-to-WhatsApp ads and click and conversion analytics
  • Setting up automated flows can feel complex for non-technical users
  • Customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

As highlighted above, Interakt charges a markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates. These charges are not included in the subscription prices listed below:

  • Starter: $12 or ₹999/month
  • Growth: $55 or ₹2,799/month
  • Advanced: $69 or ₹3,799/month
  • Enterprise: Available on request

4) Gallabox

If you’re a B2C business looking to automate sales and boost revenue through WhatsApp marketing, Gallabox is worth considering. It combines sales automation with marketing capabilities and offers tools like bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, and WhatsApp drip campaigns to help businesses expand their reach and nurture leads effectively.

Gallabox also features AI-powered chatbots that can handle FAQs, qualify leads, and enable direct sales through chat. It also integrates seamlessly with popular third-party tools such as HubSpot, Zapier, Razorpay, Zoho, and WooCommerce.

It’s worth noting, though, that Gallabox’s pricing can be a drawback for some businesses. The platform adds a 15.4% markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, which can drive up campaign costs over time. It also doesn’t offer a monthly billing option and charges an extra ₹15,000 per month for a dedicated account manager, which can be difficult to justify for smaller teams working with leaner budgets and needing more hands-on guidance.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp broadcasts
  • Click-to-WhatsApp Ads
  • WhatsApp Drip sequences
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • WhatsApp Flows
  • Shared team inbox

Pros

  • Easy-to-use broadcast and campaign management tools
  • Smooth onboarding process with in-depth training
  • Frequent product updates that align with business needs and market trends
  • iOS and Android apps for managing chats and campaigns on the go

Cons

  • Adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.90 per marketing message vs. the official ₹0.78)
  • Requires users to pre-purchase messaging credits in advance
  • Offers no monthly billing option (only annual or quarterly plans)
  • Shopify integration incurs an additional fee of $5 per month
  • Access to a dedicated account manager costs an additional ₹15,000 per month

Pricing

As mentioned earlier, Gallabox applies a markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, which is not included in the subscription pricing. Here’s an overview of its quarterly pricing:

  • Growth: $149 or ₹5,999
  • Scale: $329 or ₹12,999
  • Pro: $629 or ₹24,999

5) AiSensy

A popular choice among Indian D2C brands and startups, AiSensy is a powerful DelightChat alternative for businesses looking to promote products, automate customer interactions, and drive sales through WhatsApp.

The platform offers a wide range of WhatsApp marketing features, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, an integrated CRM, chatbots, WhatsApp Forms, and real-time click analytics.

That said, like Wati, Interakt, and Gallabox, AiSensy adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.88 per marketing message vs. the official ₹0.78 in India), which can be unsustainable for businesses exchanging a large volume of messages. Also, AiSensy doesn’t offer its chatbot builder in its standard plans. Businesses must pay an extra $80 (₹2,500/month) for just five flows, which can further add to their costs.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp Broadcasting
  • AI-powered chatbots
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • WhatsApp Forms
  • Real-time click analytics

Pros

  • Beginner-friendly interface
  • Free Forever plan with ₹50 in conversation credits
  • AI-powered chatbots
  • Ability to schedule broadcasts up to two months in advance

Cons

  • Imposes a markup on WhatsApp’s messaging rates (₹0.88 per message vs. the official ₹0.78 in India).
  • Requires users to pre-purchase messaging credits
  • Chatbot builder isn’t included in the standard plans (available only as a paid add-on)
  • Advanced analytics and click tracking features are restricted to higher-tier plans
  • Customer support quality can be inconsistent (user reviews indicate delays in response times and follow-ups)

Pricing

As mentioned earlier, AiSensy applies a 12.8% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, which is not included in the subscription prices listed below:

  • Basic: $45 or ₹1500/month
  • Pro: $99 or ₹3200/month
  • Enterprise: Price available on request

Ready to Pick a Better DelightChat Alternative for WhatsApp Marketing?

You’re now familiar with five powerful DelightChat alternatives that offer a blend of advanced customer support automation and WhatsApp marketing capabilities. Many of them also cater to a broader range of industries beyond e-commerce and retail, making them suitable for businesses with diverse communication needs.

That said, most of these tools come with certain trade-offs. Some add a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates or restrict key features, like broadcast scheduling, advanced analytics, or chatbot builders, to higher-tier plans. Others charge additional fees for onboarding or dedicated support, which may not be feasible for growing businesses that are just getting started with WhatsApp marketing and need more guidance to figure things out.

WANotifier stands out as the only WhatsApp marketing platform that charges 0% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates and offers transparent, scalable pricing that adapts to your business needs and growth stage.

It also includes a free 7-day trial on all its paid plans, plus live chat, email support, and WhatsApp API onboarding guidance for all users, so you can make the most of the platform from day one.

Brevo is a leading marketing and CRM platform that helps businesses manage customer relationships across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and other channels. With its clean interface, integrated CRM, and powerful automation tools, Brevo is a strong fit for enterprise teams already running multi-channel campaigns and looking to extend their reach to WhatsApp.

That said, if your marketing strategy revolves mainly around WhatsApp, Brevo might not be the most cost-effective option.  That’s because it only offers WhatsApp as a marketing channel on its higher-tier plans(starting at $499 per month), and charges a sizeable markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates  (₹1.065 per marketing message vs. ₹0.78 official rate in India), which can make running large-scale campaigns considerably more expensive.

Brevo also doesn’t offer a dedicated WhatsApp plan, meaning most WhatsApp-focused users will end up paying for features they’ll probably never use.

That’s why I’ve rounded up the top 5 Brevo alternatives for WhatsApp marketing that are either built specifically for WhatsApp, offer more affordable pricing, or give growing businesses the freedom to scale their marketing efforts the way they want. But before we explore them, let’s quickly look at what Brevo brings to the table.

Brevo Overview: Key Features and Pros and Cons

As noted above, Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) is an all-in-one marketing and CRM platform designed to help businesses manage customer communication across multiple channels, including WhatsApp.

When it comes to WhatsApp marketing, Brevo enables businesses to run both mass and one-to-one campaigns using the WhatsApp Business API. Users can also create a business profile, automate replies, schedule or send real-time messages, and integrate WhatsApp into their workflows to trigger notifications based on customer actions or journey stages.

If you’re a mid-market or enterprise business managing multiple channels and looking to expand your reach to WhatsApp, Brevo might be the right option for you.

However, if your marketing depends primarily on WhatsApp and you want to send messages at scale, there are two key considerations: a) First, Brevo only offers WhatsApp as a marketing channel on its higher-tier plans (starting at $499 per month), b) The platform also applies a significant markup on WhatsApp’s messaging rates (nearly 36.5% on marketing messages in India!), which can quickly increase the cost of campaigns.

Brevo also offers essential features like WhatsApp 1:1 messages as part of an additional sales package, which can further drive up your overall cost. The platform also doesn’t offer a dedicated WhatsApp plan, meaning most WhatsApp-focused users will end up paying for features they’re unlikely to use.

Key Features

  • Omnichannel messaging (WhatsApp, email, SMS, and chat)
  • Multimedia campaigns (with videos, CTAs, and more)
  • Transactional messages
  • Workflow automation

Pros

  • Supports marketing and sales across various channels
  • Easy-to-use, intuitive interface
  • Offers a freemium or a “Free Forever” plan
  • Provides advanced marketing automation capabilities

Cons

  • Charges a steep markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹1.065 per message vs. ₹0.78 official rate in India)
  • WhatsApp is only offered as part of higher-tier plans starting at $499 (₹44,680) per month
  • Requires a separate Sales Package subscription for multi-user access and 1:1 WhatsApp messaging
  • Customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

Brevo offers five WhatsApp marketing plans and three Sales Packages. Here’s an overview of its Marketing Plans:

  • Free: $0 / ₹0 per month
  • Starter: $9 / ₹625 per month
  • Standard: $18 / ₹1,345 per month
  • Professional: $499 / ₹44,680 per month (includes WhatsApp campaigns)
  • Enterprise: Pricing available on request

And here’s a look at Brevo’s Sales Packages:

  • Free: $0 / ₹0 per month
  • Sales Essentials: $31 / ₹2,597 per month (includes multi-user access)
  • Sales Advanced: $65 / ₹5,283 per month (includes 1:1 WhatsApp messaging)

1) WANotifier

If you’re looking for a dedicated WhatsApp marketing platform with an easy-to-use interface, advanced automation features, and pricing that scales with your business, WANotifier is your best option.

An official Meta Tech Partner, WANotifier helps businesses capture, engage, and convert customers on WhatsApp, and provides everything they need to support customers throughout their journey. This includes bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, drip campaigns, chatbots, WhatsApp Flows, and advanced analytics with ROI and conversion tracking.

WANotifier also features a built-in WhatsApp CRM that lets you organize and segment contacts using lists, tags, custom attributes, and Smart Segments, plus a shared inbox that enables collaboration across sales, support, and marketing teams.

You can also connect your website, lead-gen forms, and third-party apps to WhatsApp using WANotifier’s WordPress Plugin and REST API (learn more about it here).

One of WANotifier’s biggest advantages is its transparent pricing model. Unlike most API providers that charge a 12% to 35% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, WANotifier charges 0% markup, with API billing managed directly by Meta (so you don’t have to pre-purchase messaging credits).

WANotifier also offers best-in-class customer support, with email and chat assistance available across all plans, along with step-by-step onboarding guidance for WhatsApp API setup, so you can start your WhatsApp marketing journey without any technical hiccups.

Here’s everything you can do with WANotifier:

  • Send instant or scheduled WhatsApp broadcasts to thousands of contacts at once
  • Trigger transactional messages from your website or app for events like order confirmations, form submissions, or callback requests
  • Turn Facebook and Instagram ad clicks into WhatsApp conversations (learn more about it here)
  • Run drip sequences to onboard new users, nurture leads, and re-engage inactive customers
  • Build chatbots and automation workflows to handle FAQs and offer round-the-clock customer support
  • Use WhatsApp Flows to collect customer information and documents directly within chat
  • Integrate WhatsApp with your existing business tools, CRM, e-commerce platform, and third-party apps
  • Track message delivery, open rates, chatbot sessions, campaign engagement, Flow completions, and ad-driven conversions
  • Collaborate across sales, support, and marketing teams using a shared inbox (invite team members, assign chats, and access full conversation history)

Pros

  • Designed specifically for WhatsApp marketing
  • Charges 0% markup on WhatsApp’s messaging costs
  • Clean, intuitive interface that’s easy for non-technical users to navigate
  • Mobile app for tracking chats and Inbox activity on the go
  • WordPress Plugin and REST API for seamless integration with your website and third-party apps
  • Live chat and email support available across all plans
  • WhatsApp API onboarding assistance for all users

Cons

  • The basic plan is only useful for sending broadcasts and lacks automation features
  • Advanced capabilities like Smart Segments, chatbots, and drip sequences are locked behind higher-tier plans

Pricing

WANotifier offers four flexible subscription plans, one free and three paid,  with both monthly and annual billing options. Here’s a look at the monthly pricing:

  • Essentials: Starts at $49 or ₹1,999/month (for 1,000 contacts)

2) Twilio

Twilio is a great Brevo alternative for businesses that want to manage multiple channels while retaining the flexibility to build and customize their own solutions.

One of the most widely used communication platforms in the world, Twilio offers APIs that enable users to build a solution for any use case across the customer journey (on any channel). However, unlike Brevo, it doesn’t provide ready-to-use tools for sending or scheduling personalized campaigns or automating responses. Users typically need to build their tools or integrate third-party apps to unlock the full potential of Twilio’s API.

Pricing is another key consideration. In addition to Meta’s official WhatsApp charges, Twilio adds multiple extra fees: $0.005 per inbound or outbound message, $0.015 per message for features like click tracking and scheduling (after the first 1,000 messages), and $0.001 per message for processing failed messages. When combined with development expenses, these overheads make Twilio an expensive option for businesses focused primarily on WhatsApp marketing.

Key Features

  • Multi-channel APIs (for WhatsApp, SMS, voice, and other channels)
  • Twilio Flex (for building contact center capabilities)
  • Twilio Segment (for consolidating customer data from various sources)

Pros

  • Supports omnichannel messaging
  • Provides comprehensive documentation for developers
  • Can be used to develop custom solutions

Cons

  • Adds a $0.005 (₹0.44) fee for every inbound and outbound message, including Free Entry Point conversations that are otherwise free
  • Charges an additional $0.001 per message for processing failed messages
  • Lacks out-of-the-box tools; most features require custom development or manual configuration
  • Onboarding can be lengthy and technically complex
  • Customer support is often reported to be slow and difficult to reach

Pricing

Twilio follows a pay-as-you-go pricing model, where the cost per message is calculated as:

Twilio fee ($0.005 per message) + WhatsApp’s official rate (which varies by template type).

These fees also apply to Free Entry Point conversations, which WhatsApp typically offers at no charge. Twilio also adds a $0.015 per-message fee for features such as click tracking and message scheduling after the first 1,000 messages.

For many SMBs and growing businesses, these extra charges can add up quickly and make Twilio difficult to justify.

3) Wati

If you’re looking for a WhatsApp-focused tool to automate communication at scale, Wati is worth considering. Designed for SMBs and fast-growing teams, Wati helps users streamline and personalize customer communication on WhatsApp, without a complex technical setup.

Wati offers a comprehensive set of features to simplify WhatsApp marketing. You can send bulk broadcasts, build no-code chatbots, set up automated replies, and manage conversations through a shared team inbox. The platform also includes an AI-powered support agent that automates FAQs and routes high-priority queries to human agents.

That said, Wati may not be the best choice for businesses operating on lean budgets. The platform charges a significant markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging costs (₹0.94 per marketing message vs. the official rate of ₹0.78 in India), which can quickly inflate your costs. Its Starter plan also lacks key features like broadcast scheduling and analytics, requiring users to upgrade to higher tiers to unlock its full potential.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp bulk broadcast
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • AI-support agent (to automate FAQs and redirect complex queries to human agents)
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • Shared team inbox

Pros

  • Intuitive no-code chatbot builder
  • Shared team inbox for managing customer conversations
  • Broad range of third-party app integrations
  • Email support available across all plans

Cons

  • Adds a notable markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.94 per marketing message vs. ₹0.78 official rate in India)
  • Requires users to purchase messaging credits in advance
  • Essential features like broadcast scheduling and analytics are not available in the Starter plan
  • No onboarding assistance included with Growth or Pro plans

Pricing
As mentioned above, Wati adds a 20.5% markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates. These charges are not included in the subscription prices listed below:

  • Growth: $69 / ₹2,499 per month
  • Pro: $149 / ₹5,999 per month
  • Business: $349 / ₹16,999 per month

The platform offers an extensive set of tools for WhatsApp marketing, such as bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, auto-replies and chatbots, WhatsApp Forms, and an FAQ automation agent that helps reduce repetitive queries.

However, like Wati, Interakt adds a sizeable markup to WhatsApp official messaging rates (around ₹0.87 per marketing message vs. the official rate of ₹0.78 in India). Interakt’s Basic plan also lacks essential features, like Click-to-WhatsApp ads, click tracking, and a shared team inbox, meaning users have to upgrade to higher tiers in order to access its full capabilities.

  • Click and conversion tracking
  • Pre-built notification templates

  • Starter plan lacks key features such as Click-to-WhatsApp ads and click and conversion tracking
  • Setting up automated flows can be challenging for non-technical users
  • Customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

As mentioned earlier, Interakt adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates. The subscription prices listed below do not include these charges:

  • Starter: $12 / ₹999 per month
  • Growth: $55 / ₹2,799 per month
  • Advanced: $69 / ₹3,799 per month
  • Enterprise: Pricing available on request

5) Aisensy

A well-known name among Indian D2C brands and startups, AiSensy helps businesses run promotions, sell products, and automate customer conversations on WhatsApp.It brings together a versatile set of tools for WhatsApp marketing, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, an integrated CRM, chatbots, WhatsApp Forms, and product catalogs.

AiSensy also provides real-time analytics that allow you to track campaign performance and retarget engaged users to drive higher conversions.

That said, AiSensy also has a few drawbacks. Like Brevo, Wati, and Interakt, it adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.88 per marketing message vs. the official rate of ₹0.78), making it particularly expensive for running high-volume campaigns. It also doesn’t offer its chatbot builder in the standard subscription (businesses must pay an additional $80 or ₹2,500/month for 5 flows), which can further inflate your overall costs.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp broadcast
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • WhatsApp forms
  • Product catalogs
  • Real-time click analytics

Pros

  • Simple, beginner-friendly interface
  • Free Forever plan with ₹50 in conversation credits
  • No-code chatbot builder with Dialogflow integration
  • Option to schedule WhatsApp broadcasts up to two months in advance

Cons

  • Adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.88 per marketing message vs. the official ₹0.78 rate in India)
  • Requires users to pre-purchase messaging credits
  • Chatbot builder not included in standard plans; available only as an add-on for $80 / ₹2,500 per month (up to 5 flows)
  • Advanced analytics and click tracking features are limited to higher-tier plans
  • Customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

As noted earlier, AiSensy charges a markup of WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (around 12.8%). The subscription prices listed below do not include these charges:

  • Basic: $45 or ₹1500/month
  • Pro: $99 or ₹3200/month
  • Enterprise: Available on request

If you use the WhatsApp Business App to communicate with your customers and have considered switching to the WhatsApp API, you know it’s not that simple. Until recently, upgrading meant losing your number and entire chat history, since you had to remove the number from the app before setting it up with the WhatsApp API.

The WhatsApp Coexistence update changes that. You can now use the number setup on your WhatsApp Business app with the WhatsApp API without deleting it. You can also sync conversations across the two platforms and deliver a more consistent customer experience.

In this guide, I’ll show you how the WhatsApp Coexistence feature works and how to enable it for your business. We’ll also explore its impact on your day-to-day operations, how it changes the way you use the WhatsApp Business App, its effect on pricing, and the limitations or restrictions you should be aware of.

What is WhatsApp Coexistence?

WhatsApp Coexistence is a new update from Meta that allows businesses to use the WhatsApp Business App and the WhatsApp API simultaneously.

With WhatsApp Coexistence, you can:

  • Use the same phone number on both the Business App and the WhatsApp API simultaneously, without the need to remove it from the app first
  • Sync up to six months of chats across both platforms
  • Continue using app features like catalogs, groups, and voice or video calls on the app, while unlocking advanced capabilities like bulk broadcasts, chatbots, and third-party app integrations through the API
  • Deliver a consistent customer experience without switching numbers or disrupting ongoing conversations

How WhatsApp Coexistence Works?

WhatsApp Coexistence is powered by a setup process called Embedded Signup, which lets businesses connect their existing WhatsApp Business App account and phone number to the WhatsApp API.

Here’s how it works: When a business goes through the Embedded Signup flow, they see an option to link their current WhatsApp Business app account to the API. If they choose this option and enter their phone number, they’re presented with a QR code. Scanning this QR code enables them to sync their chat history and contacts with the API and gives them the flexibility to:

  • Use the WhatsApp API to message customers at scale, automate replies and notifications, and integrate third-party apps while keeping the Business App for 1:1 conversations
  • Access synchronized chats and contacts across the Business App and WhatsApp API

How Businesses Can Benefit from WhatsApp Coexistence?

For many businesses, switching from the WhatsApp Business App to the API meant losing old chats and contacts, and starting fresh with a completely new setup. That’s no longer the case. With WhatsApp Coexistence, businesses can now:

  • Access the WhatsApp API without disconnecting from the app: Businesses can now use the WhatsApp API without disconnecting their number from the business app or losing their chat history and the contacts they worked hard to gather.
  • Manage chats flexibly: Businesses can keep using the app for 1:1 messages while managing campaigns, automations, or integrations through the API.
  • Deliver a consistent chat experience: Teams can maintain seamless, ongoing conversations across the app and API, and respond to customer queries with full context. Customers, too, can enjoy smooth interactions without receiving disconnected or duplicate messages.
  • Expand without complexity: As your business expands, you can add team members, run campaigns, and integrate third-party apps like your CRM, e-commerce store, or ERP, all while keeping the simplicity and familiarity of the WhatsApp Business App for 1:1 conversations.
  • Avoid the hassle of managing separate numbers: Earlier businesses had to maintain separate numbers to use both the App and the API. With coexistence, a single number now works seamlessly across both platforms.

It’s worth noting that these benefits also come with a few changes, particularly in how chats and features behave after coexistence, how the WhatsApp Business App functions, and the impact on linked devices and companion apps. Let’s take a closer look at these changes.

What Changes After WhatsApp Coexistence: A Quick Comparison

So, what actually changes once you add your number using the coexistence feature instead of connecting it directly with the API? The table below highlights how key features, workflows, and pricing differ from the direct API setup, and what these updates mean for both businesses and customers.

FeatureBefore CoexistenceAfter Coexistence
Number UsageBusinesses could use a number with either the WhatsApp Business App or the API, not bothThe same number can now be used on both the App and WhatsApp API simultaneously
Chat HistoryChat history from the app was lost when migrating to the APIUp to 6 months of chat history can be synced and retained
Impact on BusinessesMigrating from the WhatsApp Business App to the WhatsApp API resulted in downtime and data lossBusinesses can now extend their WhatsApp presence to the API seamlessly and manage chats across both platforms at the same time
Impact on Customer ExperienceCustomers received disconnected responses from businesses as they switched to the APICustomers can now enjoy more consistent responses from businesses that have a full conversation context
PricingAll API messages were billed per messageAPI messages will continue to be billed, but App-side 1:1 messages remain free under coexistence
Hassle of managing multiple numbersBusinesses that wanted to use both the app and API had to manage two separate numbersA single number can now be used for both the Business App and the WhatsApp API

While coexistence brings new flexibility and convenience, it also changes how certain features work within the WhatsApp Business App. Some features remain fully supported, while others are limited or no longer available. Let’s look at what changes in the Business App once you opt for Coexistence.

Changes to WhatsApp Business App Features After Coexistence

With Coexistence enabled, the WhatsApp Business App remains active, but some of its features behave differently. While core tools like one-to-one chats and contacts are still available, certain features like broadcast lists are restricted, and Disappearing or Live Location messages are no longer supported in 1:1 chats. The table below outlines these changes.

FeatureWhat Changes in the App After Enabling Coexistence
1:1 ChatsMessage edit/revoke is not supported
Group ChatsNo change (Note: Group chats aren’t synced with the API)
ContactsNo change (all contacts with a WhatsApp number are synced with the API)
Disappearing, View Once, and Live Location MessagesDisabled for 1:1 chats
Broadcast ListsDisabled; existing lists become read-only
Voice and video callsStill available in the app; not supported on the API
ChannelsStill available in the app; not supported on the API
Messaging Tools (greeting message, away message, quick replies, labels)Available in the app; not synced with the API
Business Profile (name, address, website)Available in the app, but not supported on the API

Apart from changes within the app, Coexistence also affects how the WhatsApp Business App functions on linked devices and companion apps. Let’s explore this next.

What Happens to Linked Devices and Companion Apps After Coexistence?

Once Coexistence is active,  you can still use the WhatsApp Business App across multiple devices, with a few changes.

You can link up to four companion devices (like phones, tablets, or web clients) to your WhatsApp Business App account. Note that WhatsApp Coexistence is supported across most companion apps, except for WhatsApp for Windows and WhatsApp for WearOS.
Also, once you’re onboarded to the WhatsApp API using the same phone number as your Business App, all your previously linked devices are automatically unlinked. You can relink these devices after onboarding to continue using the Business App on them.

How to Set Up the WhatsApp Coexistence Feature

We’ve already seen how WhatsApp Coexistence works at a high level in a previous section. Below, I’ll walk you through the exact steps to get access to this feature.

Step 1: Begin the Embedded Signup Flow

When you go through the Embedded Signup process for adding your phone number with your solution provider, like WANotifier, you’ll see an option to connect your existing WhatsApp Business App account to the WhatsApp API.

Step 2: Enter Your Phone Number

Next, select your country and enter your WhatsApp Business phone number.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll receive a QR code with instructions to check for a new WhatsApp Business App message.

Step 3: Scan the QR Code

The message will prompt you to scan the QR code displayed in the Embedded Signup flow.

Step 4: Share Chat History

If you tap the Scan QR code button in the message, you’ll see the following screen.

On this screen, tap the Scan QR code button. This will open a pop-up where you’ll get the option to share your previous messages and chats on the Business Platform. Note that if you select the Share chats option, you won’t be able to change this setting later.

Once you’ve chosen an option and scanned your QR code, you can complete the remaining embedded signup flow. You will then be able to synchronize your contacts and up to the last 6 months of chats across both the WhatsApp Business App and the WhatsApp API seamlessly.

How WhatsApp Coexistence Affects Message Pricing

WhatsApp’s pricing model remains the same after Coexistence. Messages sent through the WhatsApp Business App are still free, while messages sent through the API are billed according to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates.

Here’s a brief look at how messages are billed once you enable coexistence:

Where the Message Is Sent FromMessage Pricing
WhatsApp Business AppFree for 1:1 conversations like earlier
WhatsApp Cloud APIBilled per message, based on the message category (Marketing, Utility, or Authentication) and the recipient’s country

Basically, Coexistence doesn’t change what you pay, but gives you more flexibility in how you send and manage messages across the app and API.

Limitations and Restrictions of WhatsApp Coexistence

While WhatsApp Coexistence gives you more flexibility in how you use the WhatsApp Business App and WhatsApp API together, it also comes with a few limitations and restrictions.

For example, if you use both the business app and API together, your business phone number’s message throughput decreases from 80 messages per second (MPS) to a fixed rate of 20 MPS

It’s also important to note that coexistence isn’t currently supported for WhatsApp Business app phone numbers with country codes from the following countries:

  • Australia
  • Japan
  • Nigeria
  • Philippines
  • Russia
  • South Korea
  • South Africa
  • Turkey

Additionally, phone numbers from the following regions are currently not supported:

  • European Economic Area
  • European Union
  • United Kingdom

How to Disconnect the WhatsApp API from the App After Coexistence

If you ever decide to stop using the WhatsApp API or manage your business solely through the Business App again after opting for Coexistence, you can easily do that by following these steps:

  1. Open the WhatsApp Business App on your phone
  2. Go to Settings > Account > Business Platform

3) Tap the Disconnect Account button

Once you disconnect from the WhatsApp API, an account_update webhook with a PARTNER_REMOVED event will get triggered.

How WANotifier Helps You Unlock the Full Potential of WhatsApp Coexistence

The WhatsApp Coexistence update allows WhatsApp Business App users to experience the advanced capabilities of the WhatsApp API, such as bulk messaging, automation, advanced analytics, and third-party app integration, without losing their existing number, chats, contacts, or the ability to have one-on-one conversations on the app.

But WANotifier takes this a step further…

While the WhatsApp API doesn’t include built-in dashboards or tools, WANotifier provides everything you need to run, automate, and scale your WhatsApp business communication, without writing a single line of code!

The platform also supports Coexistence and lets you connect your existing Business App number (or a new number) to the WhatsApp API for free (check out this detailed guide for more info).

  • 0% markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, with the API billing handled directly by Meta
  • A flexible and transparent pricing model that scales with your business
  • Best-in-class customer support with step-by-step guidance for WhatsApp API onboarding

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1) What are the prerequisites for enabling WhatsApp Coexistence?

To enable WhatsApp Coexistence:

  • Your WhatsApp Business App must be updated to version 2.24.17 or higher.
  • Your phone number’s country code must be from a supported country (coexistence isn’t yet available in certain regions such as the EU, UK, or a few specific countries).

Once these conditions are met, you can use Embedded Signup to connect your Business App account to the WhatsApp API.

2) Are there limits or costs when using Coexistence with the WhatsApp API?

There is no additional cost for connecting your WhatsApp Business App number to the WhatsApp API using the Coexistence feature. Pricing for sending messages also remains the same.

That said, businesses using coexistence have a reduced message throughput limit of 20 messages per second (MPS), compared to the standard 80 MPS available to the WhatsApp API numbers that aren’t connected to the Business App.

3) Can a business switch back from the WhatsApp API to the Business App after opting for Coexistence?

Yes. If you decide to manage your business solely through the WhatsApp Business App again, you can disconnect the API anytime.

To do this, open the WhatsApp Business App, go to Settings › Account › Business Platform, and tap Disconnect Account

4) Can I use my WhatsApp API number to register on the WhatsApp Business App using Coexistence?

No. Coexistence only supports connecting an existing WhatsApp Business App number to the WhatsApp API, not the other way around.

LimeChat is an AI-powered conversational commerce platform that helps businesses automate sales, marketing, and customer support on WhatsApp and other channels. It’s particularly well-suited for enterprise-level D2C and e-commerce brands that manage multiple channels and want to extend their reach to WhatsApp.

However, if you only want to focus on WhatsApp marketing, LimeChat’s omnichannel features may feel too complicated and overwhelming.

The enterprise-level pricing can also be a barrier if you’re an SMB or a growing business operating under budgetary constraints. LimeChat’s D2C-focused workflows may also feel limiting if you have broader marketing or customer communication needs.

That’s why I’ve curated a list of the top 5 Limechat alternatives for WhatsApp marketing: platforms that are more affordable, easier to use, and better suited for a wider range of industries and business needs.

But before we get into them, let’s quickly look at LimeChat’s core features, pros and cons, and pricing to see how it stacks up against other tools.

Limechat Overview: Key Features and Pros and Cons

LimeChat is an omnichannel communication platform that helps mid-market and large D2C and e-commerce brands manage customer interactions across WhatsApp, email, SMS, and other messaging platforms.

When it comes to WhatsApp marketing, LimeChat offers features like bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, audience segmentation, and analytics to track revenue and engagement. It also includes pre-built conversion and post-purchase workflows that help recover abandoned carts and deliver timely after-sales updates.

However, despite its capabilities, LimeChat isn’t the right fit for every business. Its D2C-focused approach can feel restrictive for brands with broader or more diverse marketing needs.

LimeChat’s pricing model may also turn away users who prefer more transparent and predictable subscription prices (instead of customized quotes). The platform bills users based on their use case (marketing or support), messaging volume, level of automation required, and the number of paid add-ons. Meta’s per-message charges are billed separately from these prices, making the overall cost of using LimeChat quite high.

Key Features

  • Multi-channel messaging
  • 2-way WhatsApp campaigns
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • Audience segmentation
  • Chatbots
  • Conversion and post-purchase flows

Pros

  • Supports omnichannel communication
  • Powerful WhatsApp automation tools
  • Pre-built conversion and post-purchase flows
  • In-depth analytics for tracking support performance (agent productivity, team stats, etc.)

Cons

  • Primarily geared towards enterprise-level D2C and e-commerce brands (less suitable for businesses with broader needs or leaner budgets)
  • Variable pricing based on use case (marketing or support), messaging volume, level of automation required, and the number of paid add-ons
  • Steep learning curve for new users
  • Essential features like CRM are not included in the base subscription and must be purchased as add-ons
  • Integrations and plugin support for WooCommerce could be improved

Pricing

LimeChat offers two subscription plans: one focused on WhatsApp marketing and the other on customer support. Pricing for both plans is variable and calculated based on your messaging volume, automation requirements, and the number of paid add-ons you select. Message delivery charges are billed separately.

Here’s what each plan includes:

  • WhatsApp Marketing & AI Growth Suite (campaigns, audience segmentation, Growth AI agent, e-commerce integrations, engagement metrics, etc.)
  • AI Support Suite (e-commerce and BFSI flows, AI Agent on chat and voice, AI conversational audit, conversational and support analytics, etc.)

2) Bird (formerly MessageBird)

If you’re looking for an omnichannel marketing platform with robust CRM and automation capabilities, Bird is a strong candidate.

Unlike LimeChat, which focuses on D2C and e-commerce use cases, Bird caters to a wide range of industries and offers developer APIs for WhatsApp, SMS, email, and voice, allowing users to build customized solutions.

Bird also includes several pre-built tools for WhatsApp marketing, such as Click-to-WhatsApp ads, quick replies, chatbots, a shared team inbox, and real-time analytics for tracking sales and campaign performance.

That said, Bird may not be the best fit for teams focused exclusively on WhatsApp.Pricing can also be a barrier: Bird charges a $0.005 fee per message in addition to a markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, which can add up quickly for businesses that want to send a high volume of messages.

Key Features

  • Developer APIs for WhatsApp, SMS, email, and voice
  • Multi-channel campaigns
  • Chatbots and quick replies
  • Shared team inbox
  • Analytics for tracking sales, conversions, and subscriber metrics

Pros

  • Supports multi-channel communication
  • Offers powerful APIs for custom integrations
  • Integrates seamlessly with popular business and marketing tools

Cons

  • Charges a $0.005 fee per message
  • Charges a considerable markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates
  • More of an omnichannel platform (can feel excessive for those focused exclusively on WhatsApp)
  • Onboarding and setup may be challenging for non-technical users
  • Customer support is often described as slow and unresponsive in user reviews

Pricing

Bird offers three pricing options tailored to different business needs:

  • Pay-as-you-go: A usage-based plan where the final cost per message is calculated as:

Meta’s passthrough rate (WhatsApp’s official messaging rate plus Bird’s markup) + an additional $0.005 Bird fee per message

  • Monthly Targeted Contacts: Starts at $45 per month, including 3,000 contacts and 30,000 messages
  • Enterprise Plan: Custom pricing available on request

3) Brevo

Like LimeChat, Brevo helps businesses manage customer interactions across multiple channels, including WhatsApp. However, Brevo takes a more versatile approach, with a stronger focus on driving engagement and sales rather than just automating workflows.

For WhatsApp marketing, Brevo provides an official integration with the WhatsApp Business API, allowing businesses to run large-scale campaigns within the platform. Users can also create a business profile, send multimedia messages, automate replies, and integrate WhatsApp into their workflows to trigger messages based on customer behavior.

If you’re an enterprise or established business looking for a multichannel marketing solution, Brevo can be a great fit. However, if you’re an SMB or growing business, you might want to tread carefully.

Brevo’s multichannel plan, which includes WhatsApp, starts at a steep $499 (₹44,680) per month. It also adds a sizeable markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹1.065 per marketing message vs. the official rate of ₹0.78 in India), making it unjustifiable for those operating on lean budgets.

Key Features

  • Multi-channel messaging (WhatsApp, email, SMS, and chat)
  • Multimedia campaigns (with videos, CTAs, and more)
  • Transactional messages
  • Workflow automation

Pros

  • Support multi-channel marketing and sales operations
  • User-friendly interface
  • Has a “Free Forever” plan
  • Offers powerful marketing automation tools

Cons

  • Adds a sizeable markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹1.065 per message vs. ₹0.78 official rate in India)
  • WhatsApp campaigns are available only on higher-tier plans, starting at $499 (₹44,680) per month
  • Users must invest in a separate sales package (or subscription) for multi-user access and 1:1 WhatsApp messaging.
  • Customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

Brevo offers five WhatsApp marketing plans and three Sales Packages that unlock additional features such as multi-user access and 1:1 WhatsApp messaging.  Here’s a look at its marketing plans:

  • Free: $0 or ₹0 per month
  • Starter: $9 or ₹625 per month
  • Standard: $18 or ₹1,345 per month
  • Professional: $499 or ₹44,680 per month (includes WhatsApp campaigns)

4) DelightChat

If you’re looking for an e-commerce and D2C-focused WhatsApp marketing tool with a transparent pricing structure, you might want to look into DelightChat: a conversational commerce and customer support platform that helps businesses manage sales and customer interactions.

DelightChat offers several WhatsApp marketing features such as bulk broadcasts, auto-replies and chatbots, and analytics to track team performance and ticket resolution times. It also includes tools for abandoned cart recovery, cash-on-delivery verification, and order confirmations with upsell options, making it particularly useful for online stores.

That said, DelightChat is primarily a support-focused platform and lacks customer acquisition features like Click-to-WhatsApp ads. Its e-commerce integrations are also limited beyond Shopify, meaning users often have to rely on third-party apps or workarounds to connect with WooCommerce and other platforms.

Key Features

  • Bulk Broadcasts
  • Auto replies and chatbots
  • Multi-channel support inbox
  • Abandoned cart recovery, COD verification, and order confirmation with upsell options
  • Analytics for tracking ROI and team performance

Pros

  • Omnichannel support inbox
  • No markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates
  • Easy to set up and use, even for non-technical users
  • Deep Shopify integration

Cons

  • Primarily a support platform, it lacks key marketing and customer acquisition features such as Click-to-WhatsApp ads.
  • No advanced segmentation tools for running highly personalized campaigns
  • Basic chatbot builder with limited automation capabilities
  • Limited e-commerce integrations beyond Shopify
  • User reviews suggest that customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

DelightChat offers three subscription plans (with WhatsApp messaging charges billed separately):

  • Startup: $29/month
  • Scale: $99/month
  • Growth: $299/month

5) Interakt

Interakt is another powerful LimeChat alternative that helps businesses automate and scale engagement on WhatsApp and Instagram. It offers a wide range of features for WhatsApp marketing, including bulk broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, auto-replies and chatbots, WhatsApp Forms, and an FAQ agent that can automate repetitive queries.

Despite its impressive feature set, though, Interakt may not be the best fit for every business.  The platform adds a considerable markup on top of WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (averaging about ₹0.87 per marketing message vs. the official rate of ₹0.78 in India), which can drive up costs for businesses sending a large volume of messages.

Interakt’s basic plan also lacks essential features such as Click-to-WhatsApp ads, click tracking, and a shared team inbox, meaning users need to upgrade to higher tiers to unlock its full functionality.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp bulk broadcasts
  • Click-to-WhatsApp Ads
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • Built-in CRM
  • Click and conversion tracking
  • Pre-built notification templates
  • Conversational AI agents for lead qualification and boosting sales

Pros

  • Intuitive, user-friendly interface
  • Seamless integrations with popular third-party apps like Shopify, Zoho, and Google Sheets
  • Robust automation tools, including chatbots, auto-replies, and conversation AI agents
  • Unified inbox for managing conversations across WhatsApp and Instagram

Cons

  • Adds a markup to WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (on avg., ₹0.87 per message vs. the official ₹0.78 rate in India).
  • Requires users to pre-purchase messaging credits

If you’re looking to integrate WhatsApp into your marketing operations, you’ve probably heard of or are already familiar with Zoko: an all-in-one WhatsApp marketing platform that helps D2C and e-commerce brands manage sales, support, and customer engagement on the messaging app.

Although it’s a powerful solution for managing e-commerce workflows, Zoko may not be the best fit for every business. Brands with broader or more complex requirements may find its D2C-focused features somewhat restrictive.

Pricing can also be a challenge. Zoko uses Fair Use Limits to determine messaging charges, and once you exceed them, you’re charged additional fees per message (sometimes as high $0.199 or ₹19.9). This can quickly become unsustainable for businesses that handle a large volume of messages.

Users are also required to pay an additional fee for each custom automation flow, which can further increase overall costs.

This is exactly why I’ve compiled a list of the top 5 Zoko alternatives for WhatsApp marketing that offer more well-rounded solutions for different use cases, along with competitive pricing.

Before we dive into these alternatives, let’s take a quick look at Zoko’s key features, pros and cons, and pricing to understand what it brings to the table.

Zoko Overview: Key Features and Pros and Cons

Zoko is a comprehensive marketing and support platform built on the official WhatsApp Business API. It’s designed specifically for D2C and e-commerce businesses, and helps them manage customer interactions, streamline sales, and deliver round-the-clock support on WhatsApp.

Zoko offers a range of features tailored for WhatsApp marketing, including bulk broadcasts, WhatsApp chatbots, an integrated CRM, and a shared team inbox for collaboration. Since it’s built with D2C brands in mind, Zoko also provides powerful add-ons like FlowHippo, which help automate e-commerce workflows like abandoned cart recovery, order tracking, and post-purchase follow-ups.

Despite its impressive feature set, Zoko can feel limiting for businesses that need more flexible WhatsApp marketing solutions. It can also become quite expensive for brands that send a large volume of messages due to its Fair Use Limits, which, once exceeded, result in additional charges per message. Users are also required to pay an extra monthly fee for setting up custom automation flows, which can further inflate overall costs.

Key Features

  • Personalized WhatsApp broadcasts
  • Chatbots
  • WhatsApp product catalogs
  • Integrated CRM
  • Shared team inbox
  • Real-time analytics

Pros

  • No additional markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging costs (except for Starter plan users)
  • Clean, user-friendly interface that’s easy to navigate
  • Built-in flow builder for creating and automating multi-step workflows
  • Unified inbox with multi-agent support
  • Seamless Shopify integration

Cons

  • Designed specifically for D2C and e-commerce brands (may feel restrictive for other use cases)
  • Pricing is on the higher side; the Starter plan begins at $39.99 per month, with a conversation fee of $0.015 (₹1.32)
  • Restrictive fair-use limits (for example, the Plus Plan allows only 5,000 conversations per month, with additional conversations billed at ₹0.199 or 0.199 cents/conversation)
  • Lower-tier plans limit the number of agents to 5–10, and adding more costs an extra $12–$15 per month, depending on the plan
  • Custom automation flows incur an additional charge of $5.99 per flow per month, which can quickly drive up costs

Pricing

Zoko offers four subscription plans, with a monthly billing option:

  • Starter: ₹3,499 per month (+ ₹1.25 per conversation) or $39.99 per month (+ $0.015 per conversation)
  • Plus: ₹5,499 or $64.99 per month
  • Elite: ₹9,699 or $114.99 per month
  • Max: ₹33,833 or $404.99 per month

2) BusinessOnBot

BusinessOnBot is another D2C-focused marketing solution, like Zoko, but with a broader, omnichannel approach that allows brands to acquire, engage, and retain customers across multiple platforms, including WhatsApp.

BusinessOnBot offers a comprehensive set of tools for WhatsApp marketing, including bulk broadcasts, AI-powered chatbots, and user segmentation for sending personalized campaigns. It also supports anonymous user detection to identify and retarget visitors who drop off from product pages, and in-depth analytics to track engagement and customer satisfaction.

Although it’s a great choice for e-commerce brands looking to manage multiple channels under one roof, BusinessOnBot may not be ideal for those focused solely on WhatsApp. Its omnichannel features can feel too overwhelming for these users, and its (bundled) pricing can be too expensive, since users may have to pay for features (and channels) they’re unlikely to use.

Key Features

  • Shared inbox for all channels (WhatsApp, Instagram, email, and more)
  • Bulk broadcasts
  • WhatsApp catalogs
  • AI-powered chatbots
  • Advanced user segmentation
  • Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, and payment gateway integrations

Pros

  • Supports omnichannel messaging (across WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS, email, and more)
  • Unified inbox for managing conversations across all channels
  • Offers specialized features for e-commerce and D2C businesses, like anonymous user detection and automated reordering reminders for customers

Cons

  • No WhatsApp-only plan; users must pay for additional channels even if they only need WhatsApp
  • Steep learning curve for new users
  • Primarily built for D2C and e-commerce brands, making it less flexible for businesses in other industries
  • Shopify integration isn’t included in the base plans and costs an additional $4.99 per month

Pricing

BusinessOnBot offers three subscription plans:

  • Starter: ₹9,999 per month (includes WhatsApp and email support)
  • Pro: ₹14,999 per month (includes WhatsApp, Instagram, and email support)
  • Business: ₹29,999 per month (includes WhatsApp, Instagram, email, SMS, and RCS support)

3) DelightChat

DelightChat is another D2C and e-commerce–focused platform that helps online brands manage customer conversations on WhatsApp.

The platform includes a wide range of WhatsApp marketing features, such as bulk broadcasts, auto-replies, chatbots, and detailed analytics to track team performance and conversation volumes across multiple channels. It also provides WhatsApp automations for abandoned cart recovery, cash-on-delivery verification, and order confirmations with upsell options, making it especially useful for online stores looking to boost conversions.

That said, DelightChat leans more toward support than marketing and lacks essential customer acquisition features such as Click-to-WhatsApp ads. Its e-commerce integrations are also limited beyond Shopify, requiring users to rely on third-party tools and workarounds to connect with WooCommerce and other platforms.

Key Features

  • WhatsApp broadcasts
  • Auto replies and chatbots
  • Omnichannel support inbox
  • Automations for abandoned cart recovery, COD verification, and order confirmation with upsell options
  • Analytics for tracking team performance and conversation volumes across channels

Pros

  • Unified inbox for managing support conversations across WhatsApp, Instagram, email, and other channels
  • No additional markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates.
  • Simple and intuitive setup
  • Robust Shopify integration

Cons

  • More of a support platform; lacks key marketing and customer acquisition features like Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • No advanced user segmentation tools for running highly personalized campaigns
  • Basic chatbot builder with limited customization options
  • E-commerce integrations are limited beyond Shopify; users have to rely on third-party tools and workarounds to connect with other platforms
  • Customer support response times can be slow

Pricing

DelightChat offers three subscription plans. Note that WhatsApp messaging charges are not included in these plans:

  • Startup: $29 per month
  • Scale: $99 per month
  • Growth: $299 per month

4) Bird (formerly MessageBird)

Another powerful alternative to Zoko is Bird: an omnichannel communications platform that offers developer APIs for WhatsApp, SMS, email, and voice.

Bird offers a broad range of WhatsApp marketing features, like Click-to-WhatsApp ads, quick replies, chatbots, a shared team inbox, and real-time analytics for monitoring sales, conversions, and subscriber metrics by campaign and content type.

If you’re looking for a highly customizable marketing platform that lets you manage multiple channels alongside WhatsApp, Bird is one of the best options available. However, for those who only want to focus on WhatsApp marketing, it can feel like overkill.

Bird’s pricing may also be a sticking point. The platform charges a $0.005 markup on top of WhatsApp’s official messaging rates, making it less cost-efficient for businesses that want to exchange a high volume of messages.

Key Features

  • Developer APIs for WhatsApp, SMS, email, and voice
  • WhatsApp chatbots and quick replies
  • Shared team inbox
  • Analytics for tracking sales, conversions, and subscriber metrics

Pros

  • Supports multi-channel messaging
  • Simplifies WhatsApp inbox management with an intuitive UI
  • Integrates seamlessly with popular business tools

Cons

  • Adds a $0.005 per-message fee on top of WhatsApp’s official messaging rates
  • Primarily an omnichannel platform (can feel like overkill for businesses focused on WhatsApp)
  • Onboarding and setup can be challenging for non-technical users
  • User reviews describe customer support as slow and unresponsive

Pricing

Bird offers three pricing options designed for different business requirements:

  • Pay-as-you-go:  A usage-based plan where the final cost per message is calculated as:

Meta’s passthrough rate (WhatsApp’s official message rate plus Bird’s markup) + an additional $0.005 Bird fee per message

  • Monthly Targeted Contacts Plan: Starts at $45 per month and includes 3,000 contacts and 30,000 messages.
  • Enterprise Plan: Pricing available on request

5) QuickReply

I’m closing this list with QuickReply, another WhatsApp marketing and automation platform built specifically for e-commerce and D2C brands.

While its focus is similar to Zoko, QuickReply offers a more versatile feature set. The platform includes bulk broadcasts, drip campaigns, chatbots, a multi-agent inbox, and conversion analytics with custom reports. It also features a WhatsApp CRM that enables businesses to segment customers and send personalized messages at scale.

However, it’s worth noting that Quickly charges a substantial markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (₹0.96 per marketing message vs. the official rate of ₹0.78 in India). It also restricts features like Click-to-WhatsApp ads to higher-tier plans, often requiring users to upgrade their subscription to unlock the full potential of the platform.

Key Features

  • Bulk broadcasts
  • Drip campaigns
  • Built-in CRM with lead scoring
  • No-code chatbot builder
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads
  • Multi-agent inbox
  • Revenue tracking

Pros

  • User-friendly design
  • Advanced audience segmentation to send highly targeted WhatsApp campaigns
  • Seamless integrations with Shopify, Razorpay, Zoho, and other popular business platforms
  • Helpful and responsive customer support

Cons

  • Adds a considerable fee on top of WhatsApp’s official messaging costs (₹0.96 per marketing message vs. the official rate of ₹0.78 in India, which is a 23% markup!)
  • Requires users to pre-purchase messaging credits
  • No free trial (or free version)
  • No monthly billing option
  • Features like Click-to-WhatsApp Ads are locked behind higher-tier plans

Pricing

QuickReply offers four subscription plans, with quarterly and annual billing options. The platform also charges a significant markup on WhatsApp’s official messaging rates (23% on marketing messages). The subscription prices listed below do not include these charges and applicable taxes:

  • Starter: $59 or ₹4,999/month (billed quarterly)
  • Standard: $149 or ₹9,999/month (billed quarterly)
  • Plus: $299 or ₹19,999/month (billed quarterly)
  • Enterprise: Custom pricing based on usage and requirements

Ready to Switch to a Better Zoko Alternative for WhatsApp Marketing?

Choosing the right WhatsApp marketing platform depends on your goals, budget, and how you plan to use WhatsApp within your overall marketing strategy. Zoko is a great option for D2C and e-commerce brands, but its pricing structure and limited flexibility can feel restrictive for businesses with more diverse needs.

That said, WANotifier stands out as the only platform that caters to a wide range of use cases while remaining simple, scalable, and affordable.
