About WPForms WhatsApp Integration
WANotifier’s WPForms integration plugin lets you connect WhatsApp to your forms to send real-time confirmation notifications to users and alerts to admins for form submissions. What’s more, with WANotifier’s advanced WhatsApp marketing and automation capabilities, you can automate follow-ups using chatbots, auto-replies, and drip campaigns, organize and segment contacts, send personalized campaigns at scale, and do much more using the official WhatsApp Business API.
Setup is fairly straightforward. All you have to do is:
- Install our Notifications for Forms & WordPress Actions plugin on your website and activate it
- Then click on the Connect button under WordPress, and it’ll redirect you to WANotifier.
- Log in to your WANotifier account (or create one if you don’t have it already) and authorize the connection.
- Doing this will establish the connection and create a bunch of trigger events.
- Come back to your WANotifier account and set up a Notification using these triggers
That’s it! Now, whenever someone submits your WPForm, our system will automatically send a WhatsApp message based on your triggers.

To integrate WPForms with WhatsApp, you’ll need access to the WhatsApp Business API. You can get this by signing up for a free WANotifier account. Once your account is set up, install our free WordPress plugin on your website. In the plugin, add triggers for your form submissions and link them to Notifications in your WANotifier account. Whenever a form is submitted, these triggers will automatically fire WhatsApp notifications from your WANotifier account.
Yes. You can send WhatsApp messages to users who submit the form with their phone numbers, as well as to select team members. To notify a team member, add their number in WANotifier and select it when configuring the Notification.
Absolutely. You can create unique message templates for each form or trigger using variable placeholders like {{ 1 }}, {{ 2 }}, {{ 3 }}, and so on within the body text of the template. These placeholders can be mapped to Data Fields, like First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, and custom contact attributes, enabled in your plugin.
WhatsApp requires user consent before you can send them messages. Make sure your privacy policy or terms and conditions indicate that by submitting the form, users agree to receive WhatsApp communication from your business.
Yes. The integration works with single-step, multi-step, and conditional WPForms. The trigger is based on the final form submission. The structure of the form doesn’t affect how it works.
Yes. WhatsApp charges a small fee for each message sent through the Business API. You’ll need to add a payment method to your WhatsApp Business account to cover these charges. Note that WANotifier itself does not add any extra fees on top of WhatsApp’s charges.
